Personally, I find this a little ridiculous. A guy decides to help someone out and in turn is in danger of being fired. I don't know how helping someone is considered "conduct unbecoming of an employee", but whatever.

    What do you guys think?

So you can't work at a school if you don't live in a certain range?
I thought that only applied to students who attended that school?

Either way, how is that "conduct unbecoming of an employee?"

But I don't see a big deal about him donating a kidney. I mean, yeah, he's a hero for that, but I don't think that has anything to do with him getting fired.

I don't think he'll actually be fired. With the reaction the story says he's getting from the general public, there'll be a huge backlash if he is fired.

Well, if his employer wants him to work somewhere else then they want him to work somewhere else. It happens all the time. What is clouding people's judgement is the who donation business. That is completely unrelated to this. They are not making him move because he has given a kidney; they are making him move because he is needed elsewhere. I see no problem in this.
