    *Sigh*

Fiber Conversion is burning down. Now to many of you this probably seems like nothing at all. But to anyone who lives near where I do, they understand how amazing it is.

Fiber Conversion is a fiber...converting company that has been in my town for YEARS. Probably more then half a century. It's a massive complex that in integrated into this town like veins. 60% of the adults in town work there, and the main building is burning down. The sky is filled with smoke and the town is covered in ash. The huge amount of snow we got recently has been melted a lot. Even this late into the night, you can hear sirens as 12 fire stations around the area frantically try to put out the flames. There's helicopters and fire trucks everywhere, and the highway that runs past the town has come to a halt. People have turned off their cars, gotten out, and are lined up ont he side of the roadway to stare at the flames in the distance.

Their was no one int he building at the time the fire started, they don't know what caused it, but no one was hurt. Still the building burns, and firefighters can't get water to it fast enough. There's a small river that runs through the middle of the town, and instead of the calming sounds of the water over rocks, you hear blasting sirens as fire trucks drain water directly from the creek, because they can't get enough from the fire hydrants.

The sky is black, and not the dark of the night, I've never seen the town this black.

Overall, not a soul int he area isn't devastated.

And all I have to say is that I did not make this thread for you, I made it for me, because I needed to say something to someone. =/
