I picked it up a few days ago, it is indeed amazing. Fire Emblem is quite a brilliant series and they didn't disappoint on the 3DS, wonderful use of the artwork and graphics. Love myself a good tactical game.

It pains me to see a good game with a lacklustre thread

Let's put some stank on it shall we

Not gotten it yet, but if I do get enough money, I WILL get the game. It looks so much fun (but it looks kinda easy IMO) seeing my friends play it. I'm a big fan of FE and strategy games (My god I love the char customization)

And to think, such a great game doesn't even have feet.

Normal mode probably isn't as challenging as in other games in the series, mostly because of the many new options available to you, and the fact that the rescue mechanic has been replaced with something with far fewer detriments. But there are Hard and Insane difficulty modes, which according to Makaze beef up the number of enemies at least threefold and make Reeking Boxes cost an arm and a leg (You need those to grind).

I think that's what makes FE:A easy. You have the ability to grind for exp and weapons. Other FE games such as Path of Radiance or Radiant Dawn forces you to pick favorites from the group you currently have since you're limited on the amount of missions you can do not to mention they also include biorhythm in the game.

You should definitely try Hard, then. One Reeking Box is 500G on Normal, and you get at least one Bullion (S) from the fight, which you can sell for 1000G; it's a perpetual motion machine, and by the end of the game you're never short on cash. But the same item costs... Christ, I think it was 4800G? on Hard mode. I can't imagine what it'll run you on Insane. No cheesing it out on the higher levels, you gotta make every fight count.

But my question is, do the other games in the series have such in-depth Support systems? Because after a while I stopped using those maps to grind levels and started using them to grind social links. I mean, it's how you recruit half your squad. Normal is great for a 100% run in that regard, so while it may be easier, the difficulty drop is not without purpose if you ask me. I couldn't imagine trying to unlock all of those Paralogues in a limited number of fights, yeesh.

i like this game. it's a great strategy game that has great decisions and more. (i like how the characters can get marry and have kids; that should happen in every game.)
