Oh my gosh, Christoff is adorable! He's almost as awww as Edo-Natsu. And I was expecting to be really annoyed by Olaf, but I actually really liked him a lot. And Anna wasn't nearly as annoying as I thought she'd be either. And the reindeer didn't bug me as much as I thought he would.

Basically, I thought I would hate it, but came at it with an open mind anyway, and ended up really liking it.

Afterwards, I told my mom my little joke about how, being born in December and loving the snow, "the cold never bothered me anyway," and she casually mentioned that she had wanted to name me Elsa but my dad wouldn't allow it. O.O I was that close to it. XD

It's by no means a bad movie, but the hype/fanbase is that "twilight" level of annoying.

eeeeeh I don't agree. Frozen is at least (from what I've heard, haven't seen it myself) a good movie, whereas Twilight is not, which is a big part of why it's annoying -- the fact that so many people could go crazy for something so shit. At least here people like something because it's good. but yeah the fandom is ridiculously annoying

Good is strictly an opinion, and if we measure "good" by success then twilight is a mother****ing masterpiece. It made money, good money.

Not really. What someone likes is an opinion, but what's good is less subjective than that.
And the only time people equate popularity to good is when they're trying to defend something blatantly terrible.
Avengers is a good movie that also made big money. That doesn't mean Twilight is as good as Avengers, it means it's as popular. or more.
    and then there's Bayformers.

Frozen was decent. As long as it wasnt Chicken Little or Home on the Range bad I'll take it.
But is it as good as Beauty and the Beast as critics say? No. Did it deserve the Academy Award for best Animated Picture? Heck nope.

What someone likes and what is good goes hand in hand. For example:

Me: Man this pizza is good
    My sister: I hate pizza

I think pizza is good, my sister doesn't. Is pizza all of a sudden super anti popular just because my sister doesn't like it? No.

Twilight as a movie, made a decent amount of money, way more than any of us here will probably ever make in our lifetimes. It had a pretty big following, and plenty of fans who found it to be quite good (I for the record thought it was trash lol) however just because I didn't like it doesn't mean I am going to ignore the fact that it made money and was popular. So by definition, it was good. For a **** ton of people.

The good outweighed the bad, you might not see that online because not many 12 year old girls are allowed to use computers lol. Except Misty

But your sister could still appreciate the difference in quality between one pizz and another. Probably not as well as someone who likes pizza, but it's still a thing.
There are SOME objective markers of quality

I did like the movie Frozen, particularly because it was better than I expected, and in my experience, expectations play a huge part in whether or not you like something. HOWEVER, I don't think it was as good as it's been made out to be. It's true, also, that the definition of "good" has many qualifiers. Twilight was indeed "good" in terms of success. But it was pretty "bad" in terms of quality. And in terms of personal opinion, it varies IMMENSELY.

As for the Avengers, that one is up for debate. In success, it was "good." in quality, it was honestly merely "so-so." But in personal opinion, "OH MY GOSH I LOVE THAT MOVIE SO MUCH!!!" *ahem.* Yes.

And as for pizza, my sis really does hate it. But it is true that she recognizes quality when she DOES eat pizza, and there are some pizza places and pizza flavors she finds tolerable, as opposed to the rest of the time, when she sticks to barbecue wings. And in terms of success, I'd say pizza is pretty close to the top of the (heh) food chain. XD

The Lego Movie did not come out in the timeframe required for the 2013 Academy Awards. It'll be nominated for this year.

The Wind Rises and Ernest and Clementine were the favorites aside from Frozen, as far as I understand.

The problem with this is that statement is, especially in the past few months, more people have been more vocal about not thinking the movie is good...so I feel like this comment doesn't really mean anything. "As good as it's been made out to be" could mean by the people who liked it or the people who didn't.

True enough. "Frozen sucked!" Well, it wasn't as good as it was made out to be, it was better.
"FROZEN IS TEH GREATEST THING EVAR ZOMG!" Again, not as good as it was made out to be, but still good.

For myself, I pretty much loved the movie. Then again, I loved most of Disney's movies. The plot was a mite predictable, the pacing was much too quick. "Well, Arendell has been frozen for 24 hours and since I can only see to the horizon (and not even that because mountains)... Yup. Eternal winter. Everywhere. That makes sense." It was still an immensely enjoyable.

Frozen was alright. I liked it but ... it's a bit difficult to explain. I enjoyed the story but saw the faults. I really liked one song in the entire thing and the rest were, "Meh, okay I guess." It has had an extremely sudden rise in popularity which is going to be disliked by a lot of people (I'm not gonna lie, I used to be a hipster too). It was a good movie where it could have been great.

As for Twilight, the first few movies were suckish but the last ones were pretty cool. Twilight is one of those where I'd rather read the books.
