I thought you were gonna put down Vanille is probably the most revealing character out of the lot.

I didnt like it...I wanted too...but...idk. I am not a fan of "old English" style of speaking so that probably didnt help.

The game play was fun...but, the story was too...large and hard to follow for me personally.

It had a very political plotline, which threw people off. And I agree with others that say that the gambit system was a bit too good, allowing the game to effectively play itself.

For me, the style of English used just made the game more awesome. Plus the localization actually made it sound like good "Old English" instead of that "Ye Olde English" crap.

    -high five-

The gambit system is entirely optional and in the beginning of the game, it can't be customized to do everything. The game will only be able to play itself once you've found all the necessary Gambits for it to be possible, which isn't until very late in the game and when you're that far in the game, you'll only be using it on the superbosses and if you want to beat them, the gambits really help if you don't want to screw up.

Okay, it is optional yes, but the game is designed for you to use it. It is like me saying the Olympus is an optional world in KH1. It's true, but you're going to have an interesting time trying to play while avoiding it.

To get litterally all the gambits, yes. But I for one wasn't that picky about "Self: HP < 20%" vs "Self: HP < 30%" type changes. And the gambits come so cheeply they hardly make a dent in your wallet. I can't remember a single time I was unable to buy all of the ones that became available in one go, and then still have money to check other shops.

"Are we talking about the same game?" moment on this comment. One of the things that impressed me about said "superbosses" is that they actually fluctuated strategies, requiring you to switch arround gambits and equipment on the fly. Albeit a bit tedious it was better than the bosses where I would put down the controller, go do something else, and come back to check on it. At least you needed to be attentive with the later secret bosses.

FFX had Auron. So therefore, it is the best. Fact.
