Final Fantasy X: Forgotten Answers

Tidus looked at Dean. "You did let out some frustation there though." Tidus noted and Dean looked at him. "WOuldn't you be if you only knew a name how to fight yet no-one can give you an answer as to who you are? That enigmatic Kazuhiro knows something about me and I don't care if it's something that should terrify me or make me happy, all I want to know is what I am and what I was like."

"Dean stay as Dean, not someone else." Kimarhi's voice sounded and Dean's eyes widened, that was the firsttime he spoke to him.

 

"Kimahri's right, Dean. No matter what happens, you'll always be you." Yuna said, smiling. She turned and headed for her room in the agency, she wanted to examine the sphere that Lord Jsycal dropped.

 

Dean headed for a room as he lay on the bed. "...But...what if this isn't who I'm supposed be?" He thought to himself as he stared up athe ceiling, leaving the door open.

 

Daichi walked through the hallway of the inn. He noticed Dean's door open.
... after some consideration he stood in the doorway and knocked on the already open door to get Dean's attention.

 

Dean heard the noise and sat up, seeing Daichi. "Come in, door's already open anyway." He said aloud.

 

Daichi sat down and paused for a few minutes... taking in the awkward silence.
"... Why did you become a Guardian? ..." he had a feeling Dean would question his question so he spoke up again before that could happen.
"I'm... wondering... what exactly it means to be a Guardian... I..." Daichi wasn't used to talking to others... so he trailed off.

 

Yuna was watching the sphere and gasped as she watched the contents. She wasn't sure how she would tell Lukya or the other guardians.

 

"Why did I become a Guardian huh..." Dean said and thought for a moment. "Yuna wanted me to be her Guardian since I saved her long before she took her first Aeon but Wakka refused it since he hates machina and I use that." Dean said and thought back.

"But when Auron came to the group, Yuna asked straightaway again for guardianship and I took it, perhaps because I see her pilgrimage as a way to travel the world and learn who I am." Dean said and looked at Daichi.

"Yuna chooses her Guardians because she trusts them with her life, she doesn't look for strnegths, weaknesses or race or even how people are treated so I can't exactly give you an answer on what it means to be a Guardian, everyone's answer is different."

Tidus heard soemthing and pressed his ear to Yuna's door.

 

Yuna continued to watch the sphere, surprising what Lord Jsycal was saying.

 

"... but she barely knows me... how can she trust someone so freely with her life? ... I mean... I don't know if I have the strength to protect anyone..."
He knew it was true that Yuna was unique though... he took off his bandanna and fiddled with it in his hands.
He had never belonged anywhere before... but... maybe... here... he could belong. Protecting Yuna, and going on a journey for his revenge...
Was it really that simple?
"I wonder... even if I don't have it now... with you guys... would I be able to find that strength?" he questioned, in his usual quiet tone.

 

"That's not for me to say, you'll discover that yourself." Dean said.

Tidus fell through the door. "WAH!" he whispered and fell in.

 

"... I guess you're right." He stood up.
"I'm sorry about before with the..." he trailed off again but gestured to his face.
Daichi looked like he had something else to say... but wasn't sure how to say it.

 

"Tidus!" Yuna looked at him in surprise when he suddenly fell in.

 

"Hey, let it go, been through tougher than that." Dea said

"I...uh...sorry..." Tidus apologized

 

"It's alright, you just startled me for a moment there." Yuna tucked Jyscal's sphere away.

 

"Hmm..." a sound of a door opening cut him off.
Normally no one would notice it, but his superior Ronso hearing allowed him to. He assumed that the blue Ronso would also have been able to hear it. He chose to ignore it.
"... I'll leave you to your business." Daichi said leaving the room and going back to the main part of the inn.
Just before he left the doorway entirely though he did murmer "...Thanks."

 

"Uhh..was that Jyscal?" Tidus said he noticed the sphere stop flashing the image.

"No problem." Dean said.

 

"Yes, he was both Seymour and Lukya's father." Yuna said.

 

"Er...right...I should probably leave..." Tidus said embarassed

 

"You can stay if you want." Yuna said, her face red.
