I doubt they'll have a remake of this for a while, so it'd probably be worth getting this if you really want to play it that bad.
I saw V come out so I expected this to follow suite. That means every FF game before X is easily obtainable now doesn't it?

The article doesn't say, is it available for PS3 or is it PSP, or both. If 1 or 3 then I may have to get it after I finish IX. If 2 then ... ¬.¬.

I've been told it's better than 7 and 10, my personal favourites, although IX is quite good so far, if a little confusing.

It'll be both, like the other PS1 classics.

It's about freaking time this showed up. Definitely a must if you own a ps3 or psp.

I shall certainly buy it when I have the funds and have finished IX then. I plan to have all of the numbered FFs in some capacity or another, because you can't really call yourself a true fan unless you've played all the main games. I'm currently working backwards from 13, skipping 11 and 14, but I may have to forgo that system in lieu of getting VI.

Wow, and I JUST finished playing on my PSP (GBA emulator). Pretty good idea though, i wonder why they didn't do it before.

I'll wait and hope for an enhanced remake. I'd like it to get the I/II/IV PSP treatment.

Im sure it will...they will touch it up a bit and make it shine with the psp power...but keep it mostly the same.

There's no indication in the article that it'll be a PS1 Classic, just that it has the PS1 version's enhancements, just like how the DS version of Chrono Trigger is.

That said, I already have the GBA version, so I have no reason to waste my money on this version.

EDIT: Also, FFVI is NOT the "Most Beloved Final Fantasy," it just has the most vocal fanboys. FFVII is generally the more popular game..... Even if FFVI is still a better game.

All PS1 games available on the psn store are called PS one Classics - compatible with the PS3 and PSP.

And FFVI isn't a PS1 game. Its an SNES game. The only thing they say about it is that it has the PS1 version's enhancements. They don't say whether or not it'll be a PS1 Classic. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not going to rule out the possibility, but until there's definitive proof, we can't say for sure that it'll be a PS1 Classic or just a regular PSN game.

It is a PS1 game. It came out on the PS1. Therefore it is a PS1 game. Aye it came out on the SNES first but it was called FFIII. I mean, if it's not a PS1 classic that what will it be? A SNES classic? Wrong console mate.

Because it was originally an SNES game, there was no indication in the Kotaku article that it would be a PS1 Classic. Again, they could have simply released it as a standard PSN game. Again, the only thing the Kotaku article pointed out was that it had the PS1 version's enhancements, not that it would be released as a PS1 Classic.

I think I'll get it just so I can say I have it >_> This is my favorite, after all. Any word on the price though?

Also, yes. I would also really like a goddamn remake of this game.

If FFVII, FFVIII and FFIX are anything to go by, it'll probably be £7.99/$12.99.
