Alright, I watch advent children for the.....10th time, and I just noticed the first part of the movie where Red XIII and some other two creatures were like dashing all the way to some place. What was that about?
I think this is the wrong section for this. Anyway... It's the secret ending to FF7. Supposed to take place sometime far...faaaaar in the future.
as it was said it was the secret ending to FF7. those are redXIII's cubs. The ending is supposed to symbolise that the planet will always re-generate it's self and no matter what happens to it, it will pull through.
Or the rebirthing system of his kind is only required of one gender or magic based (we only ever know about his father and I never remember his mother being mentioned or described... ever). But in that video we do see the remains of midgar and how the planed it in deep forrestation meaning that even a place that died like that was able to regenerate in a natural beauty of nature in 500 years.
Aparently, before the end of the game, you have the chance to return to Cosmo Canyon. There, Bugenhagen tells Red XIII that he may yet discover a mate which eludes to the fact that Red XIII isn't the last of his kind. In Before Crisis, he and his mate, Dinne, were mated in a special ceremony at Cosmo Canyon. Dinne secluded herself in a spiritual 2-year meditation, which is why we didn't see her in FFVII. All that was from wikipedia. Not sure how accurate it is since I haven't played FFVII or Before Crisis.
The Secret Ending tells players that 500 years later a desolate barren wasteland like Midgar ends up a lush jungle even after the greedy Shinra Electric Company drained the life of the planet.
