File problem

    I downloaded a file, a .7z one, and the site where I downloaded it Says it is a .zip, yet I can't open it.
    Is 7z a different kind of .zip file, or an entirely different file?

    http://www.7-zip.org/ This may provide the solution to your problem. As stated at the top of the site, 7-zip files a ZIPs with a higher compression ratio. I've not ran a scan-check on it yet, so perhaps you should check for virus's with your prefered Internet Security program.

    When I try to download any of the links shown in the site, Chrome says that "those type of archives may damage your computer" >_>
    Any other link?

    EDIT: I tried downloading it, scaned it and No viruses were detected. I could extract the files, thanks DT!
    You can lock this guys.
