Ok well i got a slim line ps2 a couple of days a go the black one so i try to play ff6 on it and im like "WTF" when i find out the controller wont work unless ther is no memory card in the first slot :S so im a bit peed of i wanna replay bad. anyone know whats going on? Dom xx
So... So your FFVI won't work on your slim PS2, and the controller isn't working either? Make sure it's dual shock I or dual shock II. Both should work fine since it's a PS1 game (I think? lol). As for the memory card... you bought one, right? lol

^ lol it won't matter. You didn't send any messages so the report doesn't go through. Anyway, did you try cleaning the disc at all? Always clean it from inside to outside when wiping it down with any cleaner. Not sure what to tell you. Disc is probably bad.
I'd have to agree that the Disc may be bad. ...if you have a PS 1, you could always just try it on that.
Nah im sure it isnt tht i just tryed it with ff7 and that wont work ever Im rly confused dose like the slim have different compatabilitys with ps1 games? Dom xx
That's the PS1 port of FF6, on the "Final Fantasy Anthology" collection, correct? According to Sony's website, the PS2 Slim has backwards compatibility issues with that game
