FCUK (French Connection United Kingdom) has recently been banned from my school. (High School 8-12)

I think that it shouldn't be banned, because EVERYONE already knows what it says, nobody could care about it, freedom of expression etc.

-Do you think this clothing line should be banned from schools for nearly having a profaine word on it?
-Has it been banned from your school?

Edit: I DO NOT HAVE ANY OF THIS CLOTHING.

    Oh my fcuking god. :3

That's such bollocks. Censorship ftl, and it's not even something that needs censoring. Your school sucks.

Then again, I didn't think French Connection was popular enough to be banned. xD

That's pretty crazy. You could have shown up to my school wearing a T-shirt which had the actual swear on it and no one would have cared. =\

Uhh.. FCUK is quite a big make, so it's hard to see why they'd mistake it as, well, you know. n___n Not all of their staff actually has that all over them in capital letters. It varies. They're probably just looking for something to pick at, so they can eventually start clamping down more on dress-codes for school? o_o

It's 'banned' in my school, but not because of the name. Basically every designer brand is banned in my school. Everyone still wears them, though. :D

o_O wtf? Sounds more like a uniform, than a dress code. And I don't see a reason for banning FCUK for the reason you said. Everyone already knows what it means. <_<

It really doesn't bother me, since I don't wear the brand and I go to a prep school there is a litte thing called uniforms.
Now if they where to ban Bapes, Red Monkey, or Ebisu I'd be pissed.

    I find this so funny. They should know it stands for French Connection United Kingdom, not some misspelling of the word ****. The dress codes are ridiculous. At my brother's high school;

    • You can only wear red, white, blue, or khaki. (School colors x.X)
    • You can't wear ANY logos whatsoever, he got dresscoded for wearing a white T-shirt with a tiny red Nintendo logo on it. x.x
    • NO JEANS.

They might as well have a uniform.

Euh, I have something worse than uniforms: a dress code made up of wearing only shades (black and white).

I don't think it should be banned. Pfft, there are much worse things that can be said on a shirt than a brand that only looks like a curse word. Normally, banning certain clothing is meant to keep people from wearing something that would offend another person. I don't think anyone would get offended by FCUK.

Because a clothing company's logo is similar to the f-word. Granted that it's quite obvious that it did not happen by chance, but it's quite ridiculous nonetheless.
