What are your favorite holiday films? I was thinking Christmas specifically but there are other holiday films as well I suppose. Mine are White Christmas and Holiday Inn. I'm not particularly fond of holiday films but I like these. They were showed to me at about the same time by my mom years ago and I liked them. In my head they're kind of the same thing and run together, though I can distinguish between them enough. I'm not crazy about them but I can't think of any holiday movie that I would rather watch. Well I guess A Christmas Story. I guess that's my favorite but that's everyone's favorite.
My Christmas would not be complete without watching Home Alone at least once while snuggled in a blanket drinking hot chocolate....<3
Mine has to be a nightmare before christmas. The songs, the themes, the general feel of this movie are all fantastic and I absolutely love it, always make sure to watch it at least once around christmas.
Home Alone 1 & 2 (the rest are trash and don't exist to me) and The Grinch. When I was younger I literally watched The Grinch every night at bed time - we're talking January 1st right through to the next December 25th. That's dedication. My mum and dad watch White Christmas every Xmas Eve though and I just can't get into it.
Christmas: It's a Wonderful Life, How the Grinch Stole Christmas Halloween: Hitchcock films (Psycho), Coraline Saint Patrick's Day: Flight of the Doves
Jingle All the Way. It's just such a great and loving movie about a dad being so dedicated to his son he risks everything to get him an action figure.
I try to watch at least one of these during this time of year; A Muppet Christmas Carol Black Christmas ('74) Die Hard Elf Gremlins Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang It's a wonderful life Miracle on 34th Street ('47) Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale Tokyo godfathers The Nightmare Before Christmas
