New story. Same characters. Enjoy ;3 Indigo eyes Chapter 1 “Please…Riku we’ve been friends for 6 years now. Why don’t you trust me…?†gently asked a petite girl, about age 9, as she sat next too a small boy on a dock. The friend she was questioning looked at her briefly with a frown glued on. Her eyes seemed to go right into his mind, it helped that they were such a strange, but pretty color, a indigo hue too be exact. The boy, Riku, looked back at her again quickly, he couldn’t stand her eyes, they looked so big and innocent. After noticing the ignorance the girl looked to the ocean, she was actually used to the haunting silence and no eye-contact, but what really mattered was what was wrong with her and why it was only Riku. She repeated the question. “Why don’t you trust me?†Riku panicked, he didn’t know what to say, he wasn’t exactly sure why he didn’t give her all his trust. They’ve been friends for years but…he couldn’t help feeling in his gut that she was…he didn’t even know how too put it. He thought of something quick before her voice raised more, “I do! Its just that its me and Sora’s secret place.†He tried to explain, the girl looked from the to the sparkling water to him. She lowered her head sadly and had to add, “I saw Sora bring Kairi…†Riku let out a big sigh, he didn’t want to show her their secret place, but he couldn’t help but keep thinking about how she made him feel so uncomfortable, so uneasy. His eyes darted around to see if there were any distractions nearby. Another boy came to his rescue, “Sora! Akarui wants too talk to you!†he stood up and signaled him to come. Sora cocked his head but waved. He ran over to them with a big, happy grin on, “Hey guys!†he looked at Akarui “What did you want to say?†he asked curiously. Akarui’s face became as pink as the inside of a poupu fruit, because of her childhood crush on Sora she always felt so nervous and starry-eyed when she looked at his bright, blue eyes, that’s why she never talked to him much. Sora couldn’t help but think why she was talking to him, she was like a unsolved mystery, she would only talk to most people if they were alone, whenever their ‘group’ was together she would sit out and watch them play instead of joining. Akarui looked up at Sora, “Well…†she thought of something and said it quickly, “Its my 10th birthday tomorrow and I was just wondering if you, Kairi, and Riku know!†Sora rested his hands on his hips, “Of course we do! We wouldn’t forget something so important,†he grinned then looked too Riku, “Right?†Riku nodded slowly, he felt defeated, how could Sora not sense anything bad from her, he wanted to find out. Riku eyes scanned the way Sora talked to her, what his smile looked like, his tone, what he said, he noted everything. Akarui blushed then quickly reached into the small pocket on her light green dress, “I made these for you, Riku, and Kairi!†she took out three small bundles and gave the one that had a red ribbon on it too Sora. He looked down at it with a cocked head, before he opened the package he watched Riku untie his aqua colored ribbon, once a smile spread across his face Sora began untieing his in a rush. Quickly ripping the ribbon off he stared down at a small, scrumptious looking sweet cake, cookie. As the boys snacked on there cookies Akarui looked up at the sky, whenever she did so a thought always came to her head, ‘I wonder if we will be friends forever.’ Its sort of short >.<
