when you think about it, there are over 6 billions people in the world (i googled it lol) so there can be at least two of everything in the world. The point im trying to make is, maybe two people can see faces by hallucinating, but it doesnt make it real. The news reporters should have checked what religion the people are, if they are superstitious. There are too many coincidences in the world today....

    What angel said.

It's a big chance that the people who saw faces in their bedrooms were 'hallucinating' and we don't even know the full story. They could not have been sleeping for four days straight or something.

actually, during 9/11 ppl saw a face in the smoke. i saw that photo and i saw it too. also, there is a mountain on Mars that's shaped like a face. i think we keep seeing faces cuz our brains are programmed to recognize faces

We watched a video in class a couple of days ago... It was about some lady plotting a bunch of stars, and it forming a stick figure. She said that the human mind was programmed to find patterns or things that look familiar to it.

Either that, or this is a huge phenomenon.

Well, Evil, for one you can basically see anything if you are pointed at something that looks suspicious by others. Like the CONSTANT argument that on Mars' surface there lies rocks that form geometric patterns that resemble complex shapes, etc...and even a rock on the surface that looks like a face (but when put under 3D imagery it looks just like a normal rock).

But on another side maybe there could be souls in them and people just don't know it. (not saying I believe that)

But I think it's more like people being gullible to their surroundings. :/

Not ONLY that, but when you're told about something from another person, you tend to find out it's true and it DOES look like a face or of something else. It all depends on how your mind interprets it.

The quote above PROVES that people are just imagining it. Element may not be religious but she claims to not have seen faces. I know *I* myself did and I'm sure of it. Though I could care less because I don't believe in any thing like demons. Lol.

So as you can see it's a matter of the imagination.

that definetely makes sense. when i was younger, i always saw animals on the wall. the same thing is probably happening to them (except they're seeing faces).

Also, the walls in my Dad's bathroom are sponge painted... And I can see faces in it.

Maybe this is, like, something that has to do with your mental state or something like that. O.o

Yeah, people look for familiar shapes everywhere (ex. constellations), but the most common thing to see is a face. The most recognizable part of the human body is the face. The face is the place people look during conversations (unless you are a boy in puberty).

We identify each other's emotions through the face. We learn to identify subtle expressions that represent emotion, and those expressions become rooted into our minds subconsciously. Our minds then begin to appear in places other than faces, and are the reason we know that :-) is happy and that :-( is sad. And this all happened when we were babies :).
