Fable 2 in late '08

Speaking in an online community chat over at EuroGamer, well-known game designer Peter Molyneux narrowed the release date of his next endeavor, Fable 2. "Late 2008. Maybe when the leaves have a slight brownish tinge - but are still on the trees, if you see what I mean," he said. Until now, the game had a broad 2008 launch window.

Well, that sure is nice to hear. Let's hope they stick by this date. Autumn is the best time for enjoying a good single-player RPG.

Peter also hinted that Lionhead has another project in the works. But alas, he leaves us with his usual cryptic and unavoidably highfalutin description:

"I am really, really pushing the powers-that-be to allow me to tell/show the world this new project," Molyneux says. "I know I am prone to say things like 'great', 'revolutionary' and 'ambitious', but this new project its absolutely great, revolutionary and ambitious!"

Well, at least he's honest about it this time. In any case, I admit I'm curious about this one. After all, we are talking about the guy who, apart from Fable and Black & White, also created classics like Populous, Dungeon Keeper and so on.
