Anyone go to london expo over the weekend? or ever been to an anime convention for the matter?
I went to the one down london, and I have to say I found it amazing, might have been because it was my first one ever :3
I loved getting dressed up, hugs and being able to take random photos. So of the costumes people had were brilliant I'm denfinately going back in may.

I didn't go to one, but there was one being held across the street when I went to the mall once. I almost went, but the price drove me off. I couldn't afford it. It was cool seeing all these people walking around the mall in different anime costumes. I even pointed out a few to my mom who I recognized. lol...

My mom thought the whole thing was weird, but she's older and doesn't understand stuff like this. Probably one of the reasons I couldn't go to the convention itself.

I went to the New York ComicCon/Anime Festival last month.
It was quite an experience, probably one of the best weekends of my life, since demo playing a few of my favorite game sequels, cosplaying, and meeting up with a few KHV members turned out to be awesome. xD
I went as Holo from Spice & Wolf, but the next con I go to I might go as Toon Link. Just need to get a better sword and sheild first. >>

I always go to Anime Boston every year, and have dressed up pretty much every year I have gone to the con. I love it, it always falls on the Easter weekend when I have Good Friday off.

I was going to go to Another Anime Con (really what it is called) in New Hampshire this year, but it fell on a weekend I couldn't get off from work, so I missed it.

A friend of mine actually went to the same one you're describing, Namine. By the sound of it she and her friends enjoyed it. It's something I've been interested in, but, well... low budget.

yeah it costs quite a bit, I had to pay £100 for my share of petrol and hotel, then I took £100 spending money :/ + it cost me like £30 on top for cosplay, I made it myself instead of buying online

I'd love to go to a con in america :3

I'm going to Scotland's only Anime convention in two weeks. I'm so excited. I'm also cosplaying as Undertaker from Kuroshitsuji (the guy in my avi). It's also pretty cheap for a convention, £45 for 3 days.

I'm really looking forward to it, but I've been warned that PCD is really annoying so I'll watch out for that.

Same here. We hardly get any cons in England, or at least that are well covered. I only heard about this one you mentioned because my friend told me about it like a week beforehand.

I've attended a few but I don't cosplay. It's fun just strolling around, checking out the merchandise and having a few laughs.

Sadly, I haven't cosplayed in a while, sometimes I'm just unsure on who to cosplay as ^^'. But I do go to conventions, most of the time to go spend money on the collectible merchandise.

Oh yeah, the MCM expo is bi-annual, isn't it? Hmm, well, if I can convince a few friends to come along, I may well go to that one. Gives me some time to build up a little wad of cash, and I might as well go to at least ONE while I can.

    I go to AnimeIowa every year. And I've been to Anime Detour in Minnesota. I'm also going to QC Anime-Zing in Iowa. ><;

    Which convention?

Anyway, I'm going to another con in January, I think it's called Kotori Con?
If I have time I'll be making an Oki costume, but if not I'm gonna be Holo again.
So atm I'm working on an Oki costume and planning an AC Tifa, lol.
