Story and character wise P3 is better, gameplay wise P4 is better.

    another persona thread, huh?

Once I buy BBSFM and psp replacement parts P3FES is definitely going to be my next purchase. Tired of feeling out of the loop.

I have it reversed. I never felt any sort of emotional connection with any of the characters in Persona 3, but the gameplay was much deeper than in Persona 4. In Persona 4, however, I became emotionally invested in almost every character I met and the Aesop really hit home for me, but also took away a lot of the complexity that I really loved about Persona 3 and made Social Linking far too much easier. Then there's the original Persona, which (so far) is really balanced in difficulty, has a brilliant battle system, and has a great story with extremely lovable characters.[DOUBLEPOST=1360018107][/DOUBLEPOST]

That requires buying a Vita, one of the worst decisions you can ever make.

It's actually a pretty good decision if you're willing do a little work to find good games for it. Then again, I wouldn't expect most people to actually look for good games when they can be spoon-fed mediocre games.

Only good games I can think for it are Gravity Daze, Disgaea 3 port and P4G.
Other than that Vita is still not really worth getting just yet, if you're looking for games, 3DS is getting a crapload of them I even think SMT4 is going to be a 3DS exclusive.

Well, there's the version of Virtue's Last Reward that doesn't have the save glitch, Assassin's Creed III: Liberation (Not a reason to get a Vita, but definitely a must buy if you already have one), Wipeout 2048, and all the cross-play enabled games if, like me, you don't own a PS3.

Arggh, I've never played Persona 4, I've watched the anime, but I'm sure it's not the same. Which leads to the reason why I love Persona 3 more.

I thought the anime was a pretty good adaptation. (Of course, excluding the very last episode, but we don't talk about that). Of course there's stuff lost in the translation from game -> show, though, so do recommend trying it out if you can ever get your hands on it.

Wasn't the last episode a movie that got released months after the last half hour episode?[DOUBLEPOST=1360092943][/DOUBLEPOST]
Wait, what's that from? Some OVA?
