I like what where you're going here. The characters compliment each other symmetrically, thus bringing balance. Very simple, but it works. I'm not certain of that "crease" on the bottom, kind of seems like extra space that isn't needed. If that was up a bit more, it would work a bit more in my opinion. The Circle bothers me, it seems to ridged. Almost like a cut-out Christmas card. If it were blended, toned down, or even mixed it more with the background, I think that would be more visually appealing. Good job, it does look good.
