358/2 Days English Dubbed Voices

What do you guys think of the voices? I really didn't like them at first, like at the very start when Axel was like "You're early!" it was just like O_O woahhhhh no! but I grew to like them ;D I preferred Naminé's voice in KHII but It's still good here :D My only real problem was during those flashbacks and it looks at Kairi's promise to sora and she's like "Be sure to bring it back to me," but like, why couldn't they just use the original clip? The way she said it sounded to robotic D: It didn't suit her character at all.. but minor criticisms aside, I like the voices :3 What are your thoughts? x

 

Axel sounded ridiculous when he was mad. He sounded like the lead singer of the B-52s
"but I'll always be there to bring you back"
I thought he was gonna break into "rock lobster"

 

Some people don't like Xion's voice, but I think it suits her fine. Actually, I was generally pleased with the voice-acting, considering a large number of them were original (or at least returning) cast-members. Axel did sound strange at times though...

 

Yeah, Axel did sound weird at time, especially when he faced off against Xion. There were times that Roxas sounded rather bad, despite the fact that I still think Jessie McCartney fails at voicing him. Other then that I thought the voices were good.

 

this post pretty much sums up my thoughts about it. i felt whoever voice acted for Axel over acted a few times

 

I like the way Roxas says "No, you're just late" lol
although, he does sound like he has a cold or something when he laughs xD

Axel sounded good, slightly different but still keeping it real, i've never heard him so pissed or hurt before...

Xion was...eh

Riku was awesome as always

Namine was good and so was everyone else, basically

over all, I loved it :D

 

I like them so far. I was worried about Xion's voice, since I've heard the actress' voice before and didn't see how it fit the character. However, she did a good job. I can hardly tell it's her.

Namine's voice was better in KHII, but it wasn't horrible in this game. She did all right.

 

I'm a little disappointed at Roxa's Voice actor

I completely agree with you both. I loved when Roxas told Axel he was late ;D

and I thought Naminé was better in KHII but still good in this too :3 ^__^ nice to know your thoughts :3

Well, I've only played the beginning, so I can only comment on a few. Overall I'm pleased with the VA's so far.

Jessie McCartney possibly did an even better job than in Kh2
Quinton Flynn seems better when compared to CoM, but not quite as great as usual.
Kirk Thornton makes a harsh monotone sound sexy ;D
Paul St Peter(? Xemnas' VA...) Well, he still takes an hour to say a sentence, but he's a bit more pleasant to listen to now.

 

I think all of them did a great job, especially with Xion.
The only thing i didn't like was DW-Roxas voice in-battle, i mean, he should sound more enraged while attacking.

 

The voice acting was really good in this game and yes, Axel did sound a little odd at times but still good. I was quite surprised with Xemnas's VA (Paul St. Peter) because he did sound more nice to listen to.

But as usual, I loved Saix's VA (Kirk Thornton) a lot. His voice had improved over time since KHII.

 

They're okay, pretty good, in my opionion.

Axel is so dramatic for a nobody lol.

 

I overall liked the voice acting for this game. I thought the grunts that Xemnas makes when you attack as him were wierd at first, though.

 

VA's are supposed to make some of the characters sound emotional. Depending on the tone of course. They try to go by the script of the characters mood tones. If they are angry then they will express it.

Emphasizing on the way the japanese VA make the characters sound is the english VAs goal. They actually sound pretty good.

 

They screwed SOMETHING up in mission mode.

All the extra characters (donald, goofy, mickey, sora, ESPECIALLY riku) don't sound anything like themselves.

 

Ironic, as most of the VA's are portraying characters who actually don't have emotions xD

 

They were good, at the same time, most were hilarious.

At first, I barely even noticed it was Axel's KH2 VA in the beginning. Roxas' voice was pretty good and pretty bad. His so quick response to Axel "Idunno." Lol. Xion's VA in the ending where she you-know-whated. It sounded too emotionless. Other VAs were excellent. Especially Saix's.

Overall: They're pretty good.

 

Lol, I thought Xion's was pretty good, it was just overportrayed as in, she sounded too tired.
