Kingdom Hearts Ending of Secret Ending

So during the end of the secret ending, we see Kairi as she is in KHII(well, without the hair cut, which I personally like better) and we also see a big ball of light pass through the sky. I've been thinking about this, but what is that ball? It's not supposed to be what happens in the end of KHII is it? Or is it supposed to be signifying something else?

 

yeah, the "Another Side". But why would they do something about the end of KHII that early? I mean, I get the whole thing with Riku and Roxas, but maybe there's something else to it, just in case?

Although I really like kairi better with longer hair. I think they should have kept that instead of giving her short hair

 

At first I thought it was Kairi as well but once I skimmed this thread I urged myself to find the video, this sort of flexed my thoughts in a different direction. The girl walking towards the shore seemed to have brown hair. (which Kairi does not) I could be wrong though and I'm sure a more erudite fan will correct me if I am. As for the meteor-like spectacle, it could be Sora but I can't really defend that with any logical reasoning, I only say so because I'm remembering the opening video for the first Kingdom Hearts game. Another theory is that maybe they're lost hearts speeding askew towards worlds for some reason, it seems to make more sense provided the plot for Kingdom Hearts II. Or, I could just be over thinking it and it may all just be for hyperbole but it has to mean something no doubt. I've always wondered about this myself. Nothing like a good thread to shake the webs off the brain.

When I first saw it, I thought that it was an older version of Kairi, just with her hair being a little darker. I wasn't too sure about what she was wearing though. When Kingdom Hearts was finally presented, I'm sure that the developers were well on their way to starting on Kingdom Hearts II, and that ending was possibly showing a 'different' version of the ending to Kingdom Hearts II, as you can see the little meteor, because Sora and Riku did shooting star style out of the sky, so it could just be that they were still coming up with ideas.

A lot of the time the ending of a movie, book, or video game is often made before the rest of the project is.

 

That's what I figured after seeing then ending for the first time. Since they had Sora and Riku come down like that, I figured they were showing them in the secret ending, but we only see one giant meteor, and not 2 tiny ones like the actual ending in KHII. It doesn't seem to add up, even for a draft of an ending.

 

I believe is a different ending of Kingdom Hearts II. But I also believe it's what could be in Kairi/Sora/Riku's heart. They arriving home.
