E3 2008 Discussion

It's that time of year again and i feel it's fitting to start the forum rolling a few weeks early.

What are your speculations as to what could, will, or won't be announced?

I'm hoping for KH news, but i'm ecstatic to see or hear anything about Fable 2, Starcraft 2 and the rumors of a new DS, possibility of multi colored wii consoles...the list goes on.

So welcome one and all gamers, and voice your thoughts.

 

Well the companies have already started the trash talking. There is just so fun in watching managers and developers bash other groups without anything to back themselves up with. I'll be looking to see what Nintendo has to offer this year. Im hoping its something really good. It has been 4 years since the DS was released though, so a hint of a new Handheld would be cool.

 

Rock Band 2 is going to be at E3 and revealing part of the setlist to counter any actions made by NeverSoft.

I also hope to see Geurilla there with some stuff for killzone 2

Actually, theres a picture of a newer music store that looks like it is for RB2 and it has music listed in it.

 

Yes, I have to agree with that.

I was actually hoping for some new spiderman web of shadows info, as its supposed to be coming out late october. Possibly some Gears of War 2 stuff, definately some kh info.

 

Gears will most likely have a Playable Demo at E3.

Street Fighter 4 will also be there making an appearence there, im sure of it. At comic-con as well, I heard they have a playable demo too.

I want Info on the new Guitar Hero 4 instruments, and a least a couple of comfirmed songs for it.

Has anyone seen the trailer for Mad World for the Wii? Its great, not to mention somewhat funny.

I'm looking forward to any news on The Game With No Name and hopefully an original IP from Nintendo. (Although that might not happen any time soon.)

 

I'm just interested in seeing what'll go down, since many are talking about some publishers not even bothering to show up and the Big 3 seem to want to focus on bashing one another.

I would like to know more about the rumored new DS...most I've heard is they're losing the GBA slot all together to make it smaller and slimmer. A prototype would be nice to see.

I hope some good Megaman games are announced this year, and some Kingdom Hearts stuff as well. And Pokemon, too.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that there will not be any pokemon announcements. There is the gold and silver remakes and Platinum, but Pokemon hasn't really been a headlining series at E3's in the past. Having said that i really wish there were announcements based on pokemon, but i doubt it will be so.

 

I agree with Shades. Plus, the new pokemon movie in Japan might be showing one or two of the next generation of pokemon. And if it does, we can expect two new DS games, a Wii game, and a third DS game later on. I dont know how but they always get me to buy those games ._.

Im still hoping for a new handheld that ACTUALLY does things with the Wii. As Brian Crecente from Kotaku pointed out in the Bonus round video the other day, there are like 3 games that actually use the Wii-DS connection and thats like a whole area of stuff they could expand upon there.

There isn't an "exclusive" next to Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy IV, or the 2 Star Oceans either.

I'm waiting on any good Fatal Frame or KH news.
