Another Empires game, with the inclusion of Xu Shu as a new character to set the announcements off. I thought Xu Shu might have been coming, he's a relatively important character in RoTK and he was voted to be one of the most wanted characters in Kotaku, I believe Link of the video here.
Oh YEAH BBY. I've waited too damn long for this announcement. I don't even get the regular ones anymore, I just wait for the Empires. They're getting so good, especially with the steady improvements to the base capture system. And the ACTUAL CANNIBAL SHIA LABEOUF DIFFICULTY CURVE IN THE LAST ONE? Fuggedaboutit. I'd play that for hours straight and not get bored. If this is half as good, I'm gonna go full hermit when it hits. Glad to see they're adding more characters, too. I've always been curious how the Jin Dynasty would play, and I recall wondering why Xu Shu wasn't a named hero before.
Trying to figure out if sarcasm or not, but oh well. Likely reason Xu Shu has never been included before is because in Romance of the Three Kingdoms he was only a generally central character for about 5 chapters, he then left and went into the service of Cao Cao after being tricked by him to enter his services and never to really be heard of again. Didn't see him having a sward but I like it, and his design si very nice. I hope that more characters and movesets are unveiled.
