I would just recommend shading, proprotions, and darkening. But still very nice overall.

Sorry, but I'm going to disagree with this. There are a lot of anatomy problems proportion wise. For instance, the head is rather large for the rest of her body in the first. Other things like the fan not being symmetrical etc. Also, with her hand in the position it's at, the thumb holding the fan by the other side, she has six fingers. ;P I'll do a redline once I download Photoshop. I hate using other people's computers for the sole purpose that my software isn't on it. The other drawing's pose is kind of unnatural and awkward, because she doesn't seem very relaxed. Her breast is waaaay too far up her chest, and she has pretty long thighs, other than that the second picture has a pretty good concept anatomy wise. Her hands also appear to be just touching the ground, not resting on it.

the hands are a little too small..... just remember that the hand should be as big as the face but overall its pretty nice

Sorry ,but I have to agree with some of the things that Alice said.
And where is the eye brows on the first one ? ;P
One tip would be to look at body positions so they become more correct
, also you can watch how other people move, that way it is easier to draw bodies.
One the second one I can't really say I like the hands they don't fit the positure.
But I like the headform on the second.
Just practise and practise and you can become even better ;D

Yep. I agree. I can do okay overall things, but i cant get the hands......it bothers me.....and it isnt as nice as i wish it would be because, i have an injury on my hand so i have to go with the first thing, because if i do it more than once, my arm begins to hurt :(

I do the same thing too and people at school tell me I'm doing a great job..My art teacher loves them...He gives me an "A" everytime...but that was last year..This year...I've been getting better...Mine are similar to these but I don't fraw hands..only gloves, or hands in jean pockets..

Umm...I'm guessing you don't want to become a better artist? There isn't much point if you're content with your mistakes. AerithRose sounds like she would like to improve, so I pointed out what doesn't fit well.

When I make a drawing and someone points out what's wrong with it I care. I mean, you can be born with abilities but you most likely will have to spend time developing and molding them.

If anyone, I care. Just because someone with lower standards than me who doesn't tend to draw tells me "It looks great" just because it's better than their's, doesn't mean it's satisfactory for me.

I agree with alice. It like with sports, if you dont practice you'll never get better (unless your born with uncaney talent). And knowing your mistakes helps make you a better what ever your trying to be better at.
