Yes, today, I drew a picture of my friend, (I know its not as good as it could be)

I know there are shadings that shouldn't' be in some places, sorry i treid to erase them but my scanner pics up almost anything

Guys, i appreciate the niceness in the other threads, but in know theres some sorts of errors in these pictures.

    First of all

I do NOT want the member Rinoa to comment on this thread... I'm not flamming, but Rinoa, PM me with questions about why as to i don't want your opinion,

HOWEVER, i would very much appreciate that everyone else tells me their opinion.

If you wish, ask me and I'll PM the picture of the person i tried to draw (Permission already granted)

    Second of all,

I'm still sorry, but the high quality mich show up erases and the accidental shading

    <3

    Last of all

In this picture, i didn't use a picture, i used the real thing, (meaning my friend)
I looked at her closely, and asked to draw her <3

This is to the best of my ability for tonight.

    I think it's very nice :3

however, there are a few things that I see wrong... The hair doesn't flow naturally... it seems more like it's really stiff and stuck with hairspray or something... Secondly, The face seems to be a bit off... The head is facing straight up but the eyes, nose, and mouth are all tilted to the side a bit, making it look sort of odd...

But other than that, it's a very good picture :P

    *cough*
I think the reason we're so nice is because your a beginner, and we have no right to flam you about your work! :3 *cough*

But I think it's a cute job! I think if you work on the hair, like make it look liek it's coming off her shoulder. And the other thing that bugs meh, ish the nose. It's pointy, make it more curvy. Just with a pinch of a curve. :3

How long did she agree to sit to pose for you? *just curious - knows what a pain posing might be* If you like you could PM me a photo for further cnc.

For now I can say this:

This is one of your best drawings so far! :3 Be proud! And notice how much cleaner it looks when you use pencils like that instead of colour pencils for lineart? Stick to that.

One importaint thing I learned in art school was that the eyes will always be in the middle of the whole head, in other words it will follow the horizontal line in the middle. 100%. Which means that the top of the head would need a liiiiiiittle bit more added to it, or you will have to move the facial features down or the chin up.

You might want to remove the name on the picture..? I'm not sure if it is a real name or a nickname, but be careful online aye?

Wow!! See, I knew you had it in you. This looks really great; it is so different from your previous works.
She will be really happy to get this, it is pretty.
I really like the face, there is something really lifelike about it. Can't put my finger on it, but it's there.
    Keep up the lovely work!

wow! you say you did this by LOOKING at your friend! this is absolutely ah-mazing! good job hun! this is something i could never do! T_T
i'm like extremely amused and jealous... XD
you've got some serious skillz my dear... >_!

but now for the criticism... <_<
the pic overall seems a little out of proportion. the head is bigger than the shoulders. body proportionind is a problem faced by many aspiring artists (i learned that the hard way). work on that a litte more... and you can be great! the shadowing is good, but it could've been better... but not everyone is good w/ pencil shadowing, so no problem there.

but overall.. this is really good for portraits. =]
    keep it up! ^_^
