Dragon Force

Sorry people I tried advanced search and I couldn't find it so close if needed.


I'm just starting to get into Dragon Force and my favorite song by them so far is "through the fire and flames" (I'm trying to play this song on meh guitar but I keep screwing up)

 

Ha, that's my favorite song too. I heard it on Gutiar Hero when my friend wanted to show off her skills to me. O.o Good luck with it on your gutiar! :D

they are awesome =D

you always know if a song is from them
not just because of their awkwardly cool guitar solos but also because they have like "far away" in almost every of their songs >_>

Their guitar work is awesome, but the singer ruins the band for me. :\

 

It's every Guitar Hero kids favorite song.Just saying.Dragonforce would be nobodys if that game didnt promote them.

The chorus is the best part in that song tho.

 

They were quite popular before that (mainly on the internet) but Guitar Hero really got them more attention.

They are a good band, but very samey, heard one, you heard them all. They don't always play the same solo's in live gigs. If you want to play fast at least learn what you did in the album. Also the Herman Li is an arrogant ****.

 

Hermal Li thinks hes amazing. Ever heard him play live? sorry to say but he SUCKS (sure hes a good guitar player, doesnt mean he doesnt suck)
They are a studio band.
Doesnt help all their stuff sounds the same though, and theyre way overrated.

 

Do you know when the band was formed?..I only heard of them after GH3,no one talked about any kind of 'force' after that..

 

I only like dragonforce for the ridiculously hard guitar hero customs. You thihnk i got good at the game from the on disc songs? Only really hard one i saw was Jordan and *Trippolette

theres nothing like listening to super speedy guitar solos

and nearly everyone above me like ttfaf.. which really isnt there best song

GH3 has bought them more fame... but all proper fans knew them before that :P

 

I actually knew about these guys before Guitar Hero III, and yeah, they were popular already, but now every one only thinks they've done "Through the Fire and Flames". Kinda sad.

Still, the band is pretty good, especially with the guitar parts, but the songs do sound very similar after a while.

 

atm they are overrated. Oooo, fast guitar. **** that ****. I can hit 3 notes, put it on audicity and make it 250x faster and I'd get the same attention.

They are a studio band. They suck more than anything in live concerts. You need true bands. Dragonforce isn't one of them.

 

Happen to tell me an instance where they DID play good?

 

Let's not argue about live performances; most bands sound better in studio than live.

Anyway. I heard a little about them before GHIII, but after Through the Fire and Flames as the final song, I really became a fan.
Revolution Deathsquad, Valley of the Damned, Starfire, Dawn Over a New World, and Through Fire and Flames are my favorite songs. :3

 

I might be going to see them in September xD but I can't decide :/

I do like them, but I also think they are over rated to the extreme D:

I knew about them before GH, though I do agree that it shot them flying to the status they have now.

I'm kind of indifferent I guess, take them or leave them xD

Their songs all sound very similar, and for sure their guitar is impressive but uh :/ there are other musicians who are just as talented but have less ego <3​

 

Uh...I know of Fury of the Storm and Storming the Burning Fields.

I think having Through the Fire and Flames on GH is why they're kinda overrated now.

And one reason for the similar songs is that they seem to tell some kind of story about a war, depending on the order you listen to them in.
...I got bored on the train to DC. I had my MP3 player and a lot of time. ^^;;

But anyway. They have a new album coming out on August 26th, called Ultra Beatdown.
I've sometimes wondered how bands come up with album titles. xD
