I found out about this on Wednesday but only just remembered about it. Basically an expansion/sort of sequel to Dragon Age Origins. If you've not finished Dragon Age this'll contain spoilers unless you don't mind. http://dragonage.bioware.com/awakening I think it's more of a sequel that you just continue from (like .hack in a way) because it's about the same price as a full game instead of an expansion pack from what I can see and the price I heard it's meant to be.
It's not supposed to have much hours in game play, though. Disappointing at best, but if they start bringing back more people from the original, then it might just be worth the extra money.
It's a while off, but i'll be buying it. It doesn't bother me that much that the play time is shorter than the original, but at least you can import you old character and stuff. Plus i need to find Morrigan! D:
Awakening reminds me of what Bioware orinally intended to do with Mass effect DLC, it's a bridge between the first and second game. It looks impressive, the same quality of story-telling and all, but I hope it is relatively long if it does cost the average retail price. I miss Alistair. The sex talk with him was so tense I purposely made it even harder on him.
kitty, what a tragic story D': meh, as long as i get to play more Dragon Age 8D making an Orlais Grey Warden would be fun
