There's not much about it cept a few concept pictures but this is good news. I loved DAO and it's good to know that they'll be updating the graphics and a new battle system.

I loved Dragon Age Origins for PC, it was serious, not overdramatic but keeping it smooth in terms of senses and emotions.
But I am disappointed that DA2 will be only for PS3. I don't have one, but if I did DA2 would be one of my certain buys for it.

I had DAO on the PS3. It was pretty good, I stopped playing after a few of my trophies got reset from that leap year thing and because of the ripoff price of Awakening. Hopefully, this'll be less of a money bag.

Only for PS3? WTF!? They probably just lost over half of their audience!

No it's not. If you look on the official website it shows you it's for pc, ps3 and xbox.

I am super duper excited for this. :B I am little disappointed that we can not make our own characters again. At least we can decide the gender.

Oh yeah, it is already available to be preordered.

EDIT: I just realized that the blood drips on the end of the dragons wings shape into people. xD.

    Beautiful, just beautiful.
Bioware, I bow to your godly powers to sway my heart and make me laugh… when oh when will you take over the world?

Anyway, yes this is good news. I'm liking the new artistic direction taken in the concept are and hopefully beyond. It was great as a story, but it did need an improvement in gameplay a bit. Until then, I'm gonna need to keep my eye out for news.

And does this mean we are not importing our characters from the previous games, according to that link?

Slow internet connection, takes a while to load the page...

I loved the first game, and there's coming another? OMFG, If I must say. Hopefully they don't screw the expansion packs like they did with DA: Awakening, I have my reasons for hating the game.

    *goes through the website*

I'm so buying this game (or downloading, bwahahaha - but buying afterwards), since from the looks of it it's going to be a twice better experience than the first one. What happened to the darkspawn?

Website finally decided to work for me, so I took a look.
Oddly enough, I wrote an RP that sounds very similar to that brief detail of the plot.
Anywho, it looks interesting to say the least and I will probably get it after hearing reviews (but not from websites like IGN but from actual gamers, lol). I hope it isn't DARKSPAWN EVERYWHERE like the first one considering how the Darkspawn are meant to be hidden underground again. I mean, there will have to be Darkspawn somewhere but not everywhere. I'm also hoping this sticks to an updated version of gameplay from the first so this doesn't bend towards a Blizzard style game approach as I'm tired of seeing fantasy RPGs that are carbon copies of the most popular games (lol Diablo III looks like WoW, do not want). I do like the new updated style of this. I assume it'll be a little more like the cover of DA:O suggested the game would be like instead of just the finishers.

It should be great, but I don't like the idea of them making it more like Mass Effect. DA:O was good for what it was, it doesn't need to be more like ME.

I can bump this since the game is out this week. =D

Anyone else excited for this? I've played the demo and thoroughly enjoyed it. It certainly plays better than Origins, and looks so much better. The only wee problem for me was the camera. It was a bit awkward at times, but I think that's due to my bad control. xD Though, it never ruined the experience.

I doubt anyone will see me for a few days when it's out. xD

I got Dragon Age Origins sometime last month and played nonstop until I beat it. Still think about it often and would play if my brother wouldn't hog the PS3 as much. And a little while ago I saw the article about this in Game Informer and I can't wait to get it. Said it'd be better than Origins and would like to see what they have done to the fighting system... And better graphics? Gotta love that.

I have some theories about what Flemeth is doing in the game and why she looks nothing like she does in Origins, all in-universe theories of course, the obvious one in reality would be that they wanted to change the style. In-universe though, she clearly shapeshifts for the view of different groups.

Either way, both me and my friend really enjoyed the demo. The gameplay and the new choice system that is. We didn't really like how the demo (unless it's actually the game) throws you into a random part of the plot after the first part. We assume its like that because it gives you a taste of later on abilities and equipment, but it was really a massive "Did we just jump into the future?" thing and threw us off.

Anywho, I'll probably get this a short while after it's released. I didn't get Dragon Age Origins until a while after it came out and I'm glad for it, since I got Shale free so hopefully something like that will happen again

You're probably right that they wanted to change her look. They did the same with the Qunari. Seriously, look at those horns! But it would make sense if she did change her appearance for different groups.

Nah, they were just showing you different parts of the game. The part where you meet Isabela the scene is cut several times and put together. I'd imagine you have to play/explore more to reach that point in the game. If you don't I'll be disappointed.

Well, if you ordered the Signature edition back when it was first announced you got a load of free DLC and you get more if you pre-order it.

Ooo, I also got him for free. Him and the blood dragon amour. Good plan.

And on a side note; to what Fang said, the thing about spells sounds interesting. Since I am all for magic in games.

All in all I am totally excited for the game. Everything about it seems to have improved from the original game. Hell, I am even excited about the main character being able to speak, which I find much better than your character standing there like an idiot. Also, the character creation looks AMAZING. Since the PC players in the Bioware Community hacked the demo to allow cc. Let me tell you it looks alot more better than Origins.
Yes. It was just assorted and cut. For some reason Bioware skipped the part when we meet the Dalish and recruit Merril.

I am so excited for this game. I think the only time I've been more excited for a game is when Mass Effect 2 came out. Bioware is just amazing. I'm glad to see that the combat has been improved on, and I'm glad my character can speak. It already got a 94 for it's first review, so we'll have something to look forward to.

I actually didn't really enjoy DAO. The story was great and the world it was in was cool too, but seriously I hated the boring battle system. The only reason for that was because I bought it on PS3 and I want action when I'm holding a controller. If I had bought it for the PC, I would have loved it.

Still not buying this one though.
