DOWNgrading to windows XP?

    Okay, i have had enough of windows 7 starter, I was SOOOOOOOOO much more confortable with my old XP Vista, what do i do?

    if i do switch will i still be able to play my games(like minecraft and stuff)?

    Best way of doing it:
    Backup all data you want to keep.
    Format the Harddrive
    Install XP instead of 7.

    It may be possible to install XP as well and run dual boot, and choose XP as well, and then uninstall 7. I've never done it myself though, due to lack of necessity, but shouldn't be too difficult.

    You can downgrade to Windows XP, yes. If you do not have a license or the install disks, you'll need to purchase it--but if you have an old computer laying around, I believe you can legally use that license, as long as you deactivate the old computer. I think the cheapest I've found to buy XP is Amazon. From there, just backup all your files, programs, configurations, etc., clean install Windows XP, move your files over, and reconfigure your programs & settings.

    As for compatibility, you'll have to look at that on a program-to-program basis. There is no guarantee.
