I actually quite like it, but I'm not big on the text. Try making it stand out a little less (feathered/semi-transparent), especially on "Your Horizons". You may even want to consider changing the font on that. The rectangle with her face seems a bit random and I'd say either make it less obvious/make some more of them with other parts of the character to go with it, or both. That, or try taking it out and see if it doesn't look too plain. The white lines could do with being a little bit more transparent as well, I think. It's just some small things and I don't know much about this, but there's my two cents. Great job overall.
I really enjoy the text, I'd say not to change it. I feel this signature was almost thrown together, it feels as if it has no depths. It doesn't seem to have much flow, either. Her face there in a box feels almost pasted, because the border around it seems sharper than the background, perhaps try darknening the face in the box, and/or crop that part, so that it only shows the lips, or un-sharpening the border with the tools. I like the cross idea, and it compelled me to use it in one of the sigs I made.
Hmm. It's pretty decent for a solo. It looks pretty amateurish, though. The composition isn't necessarily bad, but it could use some work. This looks like if it were a wallpaper, it'd be very good. The stock placement is very good. the lighting and text don't do it very much justice, however. The text generally should be more integrated into the focus of the sig. Remember, it is an effect; integrating it artistically without making it unreadable is the way to go. The dupe (the copy on the left) is unnecessary, looks like it was plopped on there. Try and make it more of an effect. For example, paint splatter's make much better masks than that type of shape. It is abstract and fits in better. But a square pushes things away. Something to know is the depth, as well. your stock looks blurrier than the background. Because Shiki is your focus, make effects collaborate into her, like splatters, smudging, etc., and she should be much -sharper- than background effects. It looks kind of like she is floating on it, which destroys a lot of depth. In terms of foreground effects, the white lines which make that cross at the bottom left aren't really enough. The foreground effects are the effects that show off with the stock in the same level of depth (or similar). smudging or some renders can do this very well. It's pretty good but keep at it. ;]
I think I kinda get what you're sayin about the effects. The box thing-my first time using it and I just wanted to see if it would look good in there or not. Apparently not.
