358/2 Days Doesn't Xigbar remember?

So in the scene where Axel, Xion and Xigbar were fighting at the tea party in Wonderland and Xion takes off her hood, Xigbar recognizes her as Ventus. If I remember correctly, he says something like "How come I look at her and see you?" But... Ventus and Roxas look almost identical. Wouldn't Xigbar have noticed this?

 

Chances are that he does remember because Nobodies do keep the memories of their past life. They're able to fake emotions because they remember the feelings that they once had. So Xigbar probably did notice the resemblance between the two but as far as he knew, there was no connection between two(I don't think he knows that Sora also has Ven's heart) so he probably dismissed it as two people who looked alike.

 

Like he said, Xigbar was in the majority of Nobodies who remembered their time as full people. He probably didn't say anything though, since he doesn't interact with the protagonists much, but he probably noticed after a bit.

 

Yeah, but he noticed with Xion right away, and he didn't know she was connected to Ventus, either. As far as he knew, Roxas was closer to being connected with Ven, because he was a Nobody of Sora, a known Keyblade Wielder. No one knew who Xion was a Nobody of (especially since she didn't have one).

 

Technically Xemnas, Saix, and Axel knew. Whether more of them knew is unknown to me, but Xigbar saw Xion as Ven with all the clothes and everything. Roxas had his cloak on whenever he was around the organization.

 

Wait, I just remembered, I think I saw somewhere that since Terra-nort didn't remember being Terra or Xehanort, that Xigbar was the mastermind behind a lot of Sora's problems. If that's true, maybe he knew that Xion was a puppet made to steal Sora's memories, and then when he saw her as Ventus, he was trying to figure out what connection Sora had with Ven. That could be why he asked her "How come I look at her and see you?" As for Roxas, maybe he just chocked it up to being Sora's Nobody, and you're right, Roxas wasn't dressed the same as Ven.

 

Question: do Xigbar and Ven EVER meet? i cant quite remember, but i dont think they do.

EDIT: they do meet, in the Keyblade Graveyard, but Xigbar doesnt see Ven's normal clothes, only his armor.

 

Yeah, even in the BbS Final ending, it shows that Braig was the mastermind after Xehanort was found by Ansem the Wise. It's very likely, but Xemnas had his secrets too, even from Xigbar...

But he had seen Terra in his normal clothes at Radiant Garden. Their clothes look a bit similar, not in color but with that heart type metal thing...

 

Actually, I'm fairly sure that Xigbar does remember Ventus before he sees Xion as him, and that he had taken note of Roxas looking like him. Maybe that's why he always treated him so well.

 

huh, I never thought of that. It does make sense, though.

 

But... in the Keyblade Graveyard he acted like Ven was still just a kid.

Maybe just because MX told him to provoke Aqua and Ventus for that span of time...?

 

Yeah, I guess that makes sense.

 

Xigbar might remember, after all he treats ven like a just a kid in the keyblade graveyard, and he treats roxas in a similar maner, even telling him once that the only thing he could save him from was boredom.
Xigbar is a smart guy though, I dout it's easy to keep something from him, and even though it was years ago xigbar seams like the kind of guy who wouldn't forget a face.
I don't know about axel and Saix but xemnas must remember because ven was so important to both his somebodys
Personally I think zexion also realized that there was a connection, as he was the member who was nicest to roxas at the beginning.
