Square-Enix Does anyone like the Final fantasy Character Gilgamesh?

For those who don't know. Gilgamesh appears in

Final Fantasy V
Final Fantasy VI Advance
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy XII

The mystery man who has around 6 or 8 arms and wields a lot of legendary weapons. The reason why i chose him as my favorite villan who turned hero in the series.

The third time you fought him. exdeath banishes him to the void as a result because his excalipoor was weak. The time you fight necrophobe, he dies to kill necrophobe (sadly)

Anything i missed out so far?

 

why, yes i do. i just dont like fighting him.

yea Gilgamesh is awesome and I am a huge fan of Gilgamesh

Just to add on to the description above Gilgamesh was actually sent to the intercontinental rift (not the void)on his 4th battle against Bartz and is rumored to have survived the self-destruct attack against Necrophobe and uses the intercontinental rift to go to different final fantasy world with the goal of obtaining legendary swords

 

Wasn't the Gilgasmesh that appears in other series the one from FFV and the one's before FFV where just characters of the same name?

Anywho, I think he's a pretty cool character and they should use him more with the whole legend hunting swordsman who travels to other worlds thing he's got going.

Btw, there's a Gilgamesh in FFIX. He's the 4-armed guy who rates Zidane's theft rank based. Can't remember if he's Gilgamesh in disguise or just a different person all together.

Also, i'll move this to the right place.

EDIT: Just checked it on google and the Gilgamesh in FFIX is Gilgamesh. He just tries to steal gil off of the party a few times e.g. Right at the beginning when you play as Vivi and check the coast is clear for Puck if you take too long he appears and robs you and in a optional cutscene he steals money off Dagger only to run into Steiner later on and give him a Power Armlet he bought with the money out of fear.

 

Gilgamesh is half human/half god isn't he or is that just mythology. Anyway he was a great character in the series. Be nice to see him face Cloud or sephiroth

 

He was only in FF1 in the rerelease for Final Fantasy Origins, and subsequent releases. He wasn't in the original version.

 

I think Gilgamesh is a pretty cool character. I really like his Amano artwork design and his battle music/theme song is kick-ass (i.e., Clash on the Big Bridge). His other incarnations were also swell but my favorite would have to be the original FFV version. I haven't played that specific game but looking at all of the videos of him makes him sorta likeable.

I wish that he had a bigger role in Dissidia but oh well. But he'd better be in XIII. I'd love to hear an awesome remix of his theme.

 

lol I think it's funny how the japanese have an infatuation over King Gilgamesh from a very long time ago.

Anyway he's an okay battle...
