Do any of you know where the KHV server is? I'm trying to figure out where my Internet's having problems, and why I can get to some sites but not others, and that way I can see where the traffic is dead. Thanks. :3
It's wherever the vBulletin servers are. Chances are it's on the opposite side of the country/really far away from you, if your having lots of trouble. It is possible to make a program to check which ports (if any) fail along the way to KHV. I just don't know how. >_>
It's weird, because it's not KHV. It's a little...chunky at times today, but sites like DeviantArt I can't even get to. I tried doing a speed test to a server in NYC (I'm in NJ), and it was at 15 meg., which is normal for me. But when I tried to connect to one in Chicago, there was no activity at all.
Remember, DeviantArt is a site with thousands upon thousands upon thousands of images, stories, movies, and drawings. The file size on one page alone must be many times larger than anything you'll ever experience on KHV.
Yeah, but it wasn't just dA. I couldn't get to Photobucket, AOL/AIM, MSN, and OneManga. I couldn't even get to my school's website.
Comcast, but it's not them, since our phones are screwed up too. I don't know...according to my parents, AT&T probably screwed something up. They hate the company, yet they continue working there. >_>;; OneManga is a manga site that has like...every series imaginable. It's scanlated, so it's updated weekly.
Ooh, neat. I might go there someday. >_> Also: I have Comcast myself, and it's amazing. Hardly any problems ever, and good download speeds, so It must be AT&T.
It's all free too. :3 And yes, Comcast is amazing. Anyway. My aunt said someone f***ed up big time and disconnected one of their servers, and that she's trying to reboot it. Hopefully that means that my internet will stop spazzing. -_-;;
