    Chapter 1: The Encounter

    “No, no, no . . . come on don't do this to me, not right now!!,” the Doctor was flipping switches and turning knobs trying to put the TARDIS back on track. “Come on, just a little bit further!! There!,” the Doctor settled the machine as it came to a halt with its normal wail. “Now, let's have a look at where we are exactly. Oh, the planet with no name . . . well that is technically a name isn't it?? Let's have a look outside shall we?,” the Doctor realized that he had no traveling companion with him any longer after he took Martha home. “Yes well, moving along.” The Doctor opened the TARDIS door revealing a planet enshrouded with moonlight, there was no grass on the ground or any forests near by. The planet, by all rights, was considered an unstable world. “Suppose I should be moving along then . . . a shame really, such a lovely moonlight.” The Doctor had only finished his sentence when a ringing came from back inside the TARDIS.

    “Hello?? Hello? Can you hear me?,” the Doctor pleaded as he answered the phone. “Hello, hello is anyone there?”

    “Hello, please, help me . . . please!!!,” a mysterious voice cried out for help. It continued to say, “Please, coordinates alpha nine charlie three point eight seven delta. Please help m-,” the call was ended and the voice was gone.

    “So there is life on this planet after all . . .,” the Doctor hung up the phone and started punching in the coordinates. “Let's see was it charlie or beta . . . maybe gamma,” the Doctor finished punching in the coordinates and rushed out of the TARDIS. He looked around and saw only one place a distress call could have been made from, an old laboratory of some sort. The Doctor, of course, went rushing in with only his mind and his Sonic Screwdriver at his side.

    The Doctor busted through the main door, “Hello!!! Is anyone there!”

    “Help me please, down this way!,” a voice rang out from down a corridor. “No, no, stay back you . . . you . . . Aagggghhhhh!!!!!” The Doctor rushed down the hall.

    “Hey, what is going on he-,” the Doctor was interrupted by a ghastly image. The man who had been pleading for help lay on the ground, the life energy of his very being was being drained by a strange creature. “Stop, stop now!!” The creature halted its action and faced toward the Doctor. “Under galactic law, by order of the Shadow Proclamation I demand you tell me what you are and what you are doing!”

    The creature who seemed to be unable to speak for a period of time began, “I am Garantunas a paravore from the Galactic alignment of Conthortum. I am simply getting rid of all the life on this planet, it is set to be destroyed.”

    “No, what you are doing is far more than getting rid of life, you are killing an innocent being. I am giving you one warning and one warning only . . . get away from this place now.”

    “Or what?!,” Garantunas replied in a “come and get me” tone.

    “Sorry, I haven't introduced myself. My name is The Doctor, I am a timelord, and I hail from the planet of Gallifrey. Now if you know anything, it should be that when you hear the Doctor is coming and you know you are doing something wrong, then you should run. I won't give you another warning, so you should run now . . .” As the Doctor said this Garantunas became pale and frightful.

    “D-d-d-d-doctor!! N-n-n-no!! That is only a legend, a myth, a fairytale passed down to scare children into behaving properly.” Garantunas started to regain his stature.

    “Well then, your parents must have not have told you enough. I want you to ask yourself one question, one simple little question . . . Is it worth the risk? You don't know for sure if I am the doctor or not but any Dalek, any Cyberman, any evil being who has brought harm to this universe could tell you that I am The Doctor. Now I gave you your warning paravorian . . . time's up.” The Doctor held up his Sonic Screwdriver and pointed it at a strange device attached to Garatunas. Then he turned on the Sonic device and went to work shutting down every electronic pathway within the device on Garatunas' side. “That is an energy transferrence device, correct? Without that you won't be able to manifest and reuse any energy you have sucked out of anyone and it should all return where it belongs.”

    “N-no! Nooooo!!!” The Paravorian pleaded as he turned into energy and dispersed.

    The Doctor stood there with the saddened expression on his face thinking only that he had just killed another being, and that maybe there was another way. His thoughts were interrupted when the man who was lifelessly lying on the floor began to arise. The Doctor rushed over to help him up, “Are you alright? What is your name?”

    “My, my name?? I- I don't remember.” The man stood there confused and irritated at the fact he couldn't remember a thing. The Doctor helped him outside and once they got there the Doctor was shocked to find that there was grass on the ground, there was a forest surrounding them and the air was filled with oxygen again. The Doctor realized that the Paravorian must have been draining this planet for a while and when the energy was released it cause a bio metric breakdown of the area stimulating the growth of vegetation.

    “Th-this is amazing! Ha, from a planet of gloom to a planet of bloom . . . Bloom, the vegetation planet. Remind me to submit this to the planet preservation committee.” He looked at the still confused man. “Do you remember your name?”

    The man looked toward the sky and said, “What a lovely night . . . Night . . . Call me Night” The man had to say it over to himself a few times so as to remember it himself.

    “Well, alright then Night,” the Doctor looked at a scanner, “since it appears that there is no other life form on this planet I guess I can give you a lift. Where do you-” The Doctor realized that Night would not remember where he lived.

    “Doctor, if it is alright, could I stay with you?” Night seemed keen on going with the Doctor.

    “Why on . . . well, why would you want to do that?”

    “I don't know, I just have this feeling that if I follow you . . . something will happen.

    “Well of course something will happen, lot's of things happen when you travel with me.”

    “Oh” Night had a gloomy look on his face but then he jolted and looked at the Doctor who had a smile on his face, “Wait so does that mean that?,” the Doctor nodded and looked at the TARDIS. “Wait, that is your ship?”

    “What's wrong with it?”

    “Nothing, nothing, it's just going to be a tight fit.”

    “Oh we'll see,” the Doctor said with a smile on his face as he led Night into the TARDIS, “So, what do you think?”

    “Hmmm, it's bigger on the inside? Must be a dimensional space vortex manipulator.”

    “H-how did you know that?”

    “I . . . I don't know, I just did. Hey, does that terminal use a fully comprised optimization matrix with a calibrated core attachment??” Night walked over to the terminal and started looking it over.

    “Y-you shouldn't be able to know that!!” The Doctor was becoming inquisitive.

    “Yet I do, and it is making you mad. I am sorry, I will leave the explanations to you from now on.”

    “No, no, it's alright. It has been a while since I met someone who knew what they were talking about, that is all.”

    “Oh, so you don't mind if I??” Night nodded toward the terminal interface.

    “Be my guest.” The Doctor seemed delited he had found someone like himself. Then he started to fear that he had found someone like himself. Was Night covering up his past, did he have secrets to hide. The Doctor watched as the mysterious Night went to work entering random coordinates and then they were off.

    ~~~Hey there, I have fallen in love (again) with the infamous show Doctor Who and decided to make a story (fan fic) based on it. I always wondered what would happen if I ever fell into that world so here it is. I would appreciate all criticism and if you have any ideas for a chapter I would be glad to hear them. Just PM me, or VM me, doesn't matter. Don't post it here though as I would hate to fill the thread with ideas alone and no criticism. So criticism only, ideas as PMs or VMs. Thanks and expect more soon!! XD
    A few spelling mistakes (e.g: "Pai"l should be "pale") but other than that this is a good start. I'd like to see more.
    It reminds me a lot of David Tennent's portrayal of the Doctor which I absolutely LOVED. Carry on :)
    @axel ty I will fix it and yes that was exactly what I was going for. David Tennant was also my favorite Doctor, but the new one (Matt Smith) does a good job too. Every Doctor has his own style, and that is what I love about the series XD
    Anyway, sorry for the wait and don't ask questions about how the time line works with this one (if you really watch the show) I know it shouldn't work but it does so get over it ^_^ Second installment here it is. Again, I would love criticism!!
    Chapter 2: An Unknowing Reunion
    They had been flying around for some time before the Doctor received a transmission, “There is a strange beacon coming from these coordinates.”
    “Could be a trap,” Night said smiling, “I am up for it, how about you?”
    “I don't know, flying in to an unknown area, to a mysterious distress call coming from who knows where . . . This could be very dangerous, life-threatening even . . .” The Doctor simply smiled as Night began entering there destination. “Guess we will find out then, eh?”
    The TARDIS came to a screeching halt, as the Doctor and Night stepped outside they saw no reason for a distress call to be coming from this place. It was a gentle looking scene, sun shining, wind blowing, children playing in the distance. “Now why on earth would someone send a distress beacon from a place like this?” The Doctor had a sudden memory of that civilization with the glass shaped dome surrounding it. He went back and remembered how it used to be, beautiful. Then everything came crashing down around him as he remembered what happened to it, and how he came to be where he is now. “We need to investigate, if there is something going on here then it must be bad.” The Doctor headed off on his own way as Night still stood next to the TARDIS in awe.
    “Simply incredible, this place is down right gorgeous.”
    “Well hello there,” A voice rang out from beside Night, “and how are we today?” There was a woman standing next to Night and as he turned to look back at her he started stumbling forward.
    “NO! You, you are not supposed to be here!” Night was indeed in great agony as the voice continued to talk to him.
    “Not supposed to be here, but you are the one who isn't supposed to be here. I remember that day as if it was yesterday.”
    “STOP IT!!!” Night fell to his knees in pain, the voice still ringing in his ears. He looked up at the sky and for a moment it turned blood red, the ground desolate and cracked. In the distance he saw at least three volcanoes erupting at the same time. Somewhere inside he knew that was the end, his end. “Please . . . no . . . more.” Night finally collapsed and lay motionless.
    “Now that won't do, guess we will have to meet again.” The figure vanished as the Doctor rounded the TARDIS.
    “Night!” The Doctor woke Night and helped him to his feet. “What happened?”
    “I . . . I do not know for sure. Must have just been whiplash or something.”
    “Right, yeah, whiplash.” The Doctor gave Night a look, “So tell me, why is it you are shaking?”
    “Shaking, I . . . I don't know what you mean.”
    The Doctor began analyzing Night with his sonic screwdriver, “Tell me, how long have we been here?”
    “I . . . What are you talking about we just got here.”
    The Doctor stopped, “No, we have been here for four hours.”
    “What! No, you must be wrong. I . . . I would remember.”
    “No, I am afraid you wouldn't. Something has been happening here, something happened that made you lose time. Tell me, don't you remember anything?”
    “No, nothing other than getting off the TARDIS and Luna.”
    “What, who is Luna?”
    “What are you talking about?” Night had the expression of confusion.
    The Doctor started to get angry, only at the fact Night didn't remember. “You said you remember getting off the TARDIS and Luna, who is Luna?”
    “Doctor I don't know what you are talking about, I said I only remember getting off the TARDIS . . . and Luna”
    The Doctor was quick, “See! There it was again, hold on to it. Now quick tell me who is Luna!?”
    “Doctor I . . .” Night began to stumble again, “No, I don't know what you are talking about. I don't know Lunara.”
    The Doctor was at the breaking point and ready to give up, “Something is blocking your memory. You are subconciously trying to remember but you can't. Come on,” The Doctor was trying to think, “perception filter. No, that would leave traces. Maybe some kind of-”
    “Mind wiper?” The more than familiar voice rang out from behind the Doctor. “I can't believe that you would over look something as simple as that.”
    The Doctor gave a half smile, half accusing look to the figure behind him, “River Song.”
    “Oh Doctor you remembered me this time.”
    “Last time I saw you was-”
    “Spoilers Doctor.” River was curious as to what her future would hold but also afraid.
    “Right,” The Doctor remembered the matter at hand, “tell me, what do you know about this?” He pointed at Night.
    “Looks to me like a level nine memory wipe,” River sounded like she was too familiar with the whole thing herself, “his memory has been erased almost entirely. Someone or something wanted him to forget, and forget it for good.”
    “Then why is he remembering something, a- a girl named Lunara.”
    River jumped when she heard the name, “Lunara? Oh dear, I only know about one Lunara in the entire universe and you don't want to be connected to her. If your boy here knows her, on a first name bases . . . Doctor a word?” River pulled the Doctor away from Night. “Doctor, how do you know that boy?”
    “I met him, on the planet with no name.”
    “What do you know about him?”
    “His name is Night.”
    “ . . . Is that it?”
    “Yes” The Doctor seemed so innocent in answering but he was realizing the danger himself.
    River sighed, “Doctor if that is the Night I am thinking of you would do well to drop him in the next Black Hole you come to.”
    “Why?”
    “He . . . If it is the Night I am thinking of . . . He has destroyed several galaxies, along with everything in them.”
    The Doctor lost all expression on his face and turned away for a moment, “He . . . destroyed several galaxies.” The Doctor watched as Night stood leaning on the TARDIS and looking over at him. “Then there is only one thing I can do . . .” The Doctor turned back to River, “Help him get his memory's back!”
    ~~Well there it is, hope you enjoyed it. Again, sorry for the wait (school's ruff lol) I will post chapter three soon. Thanks for reading, bye ^_^
    Chapter 3: A New Day
    The Doctor and Night were once again traveling in the TARDIS, as the Doctor recalled the last thing River said to him, “Be weary of the Night Doctor, you never know when it will fall.” This took the Doctor by surprise, the power of the words. He was directing the TARDIS this time as Night sat feeling ill. “Are you feeling any better,” the Doctor questioned Night.
    “Yes a little, so what happened back there,” Night seemed to be losing more of his memory.
    “N- Nothing,” the Doctor muttered, “Nothing at all.” The Doctor stopped for a moment and sadly gazed down upon the TARDIS control panel. “So, where do you want to go now?”
    Night closed his eyes and thought for a moment, “I would like to go . . . home.”
    The Doctor, realizing that this was probably another fluke of the memory wipe, asked, “Where is your home exactly Night?”
    “Hmh?,” Night looked puzzled, “What are you talking abou-”
    “Never mind, I will take you to a place I know you will love. Hold on.” The Doctor began typing in the coordinates.
    “Where exactly are you taking me Doctor?”
    “The one place I would give my life for . . . Earth.”
    “Earth . . . that name sounds familiar.”
    The Doctor became frightened as to why the name sounded so familiar to Night, “Why! Why does that name sound familiar!”
    Night was terribly startled by the Doctors change of tone, “I- I think I have heard you say it before is all.”
    The Doctor turned away from Night and realized he had been a bit too harsh, “I- . . . I am sorry Night.”
    “It's okay,” Night sighed, “I am used to being yelled at.”
    The Doctor thought this weird as it was the first time he had snapped at Night, “Why would you say that?”
    “Well, I was always the odd one. The one nobody liked, so they would yell at me. That is, until I met Luna.” Night had a smile on his face but only seconds later forgot why.
    “I am sorry,” the Doctor was sounding more like himself, “for whatever happened to you Night but I swear by the suns of Gallifrey, I will help you.” The Doctor then thought, “If only to destroy you. If I could figure out his past without him remembering maybe I could just leave him how he is now. But how?”
    “What do you mean Doctor, what happened to me?”
    “Oh, it is a long story best left forgotten.”
    “Okay, so are we nearing our target?”
    “Target . . . We are nearing our destination.”
    “Okay, so . . . is Earth really that great?”
    “Yes, it is filled to the brim with these beings . . . humans. Sometimes . . . most of the time they are stupid, corrupt, and they can make me sick. But sometimes, sometimes they are the most wonderful beings you will ever meet. There was this girl, Rose Tyler, and that girl was one of the best of them all.”
    “What happened to her Doctor?”
    The Doctor paused for a long time, “She died . . . I killed her.”
    Night was sort of taken aback by the Doctor saying such a thing, “You! . . . What did she do?”
    “Nothing, she simply hung around me for too long. If I had never met her she would still be alive and well. But oh the things she saw, the things we have seen . . . I would give the world to have just one more.”
    “If you really like her that much then just use the TARDIS to save her.”
    “I can't, the past cannot be re-written.”
    Night started laughing, hysterically.
    “You think that is funny?!” The Doctor started getting a bit irritated.
    “Yes, I find it funny that you,” Nights tone became more sinister, “the GREAT Doctor wouldn't understand.”
    The Doctor became furious, “Understand what!!”
    “That time was never written, time was never laid out in any set pattern or form. Time is uncontrollable Doctor, for most anyway.”
    “What does that mean!!”
    “You will find out in time . . . Just be careful when it falls.”
    “What!!”
    “When it falls Doctor . . . Silence will fall.” Night fell unconcious with his last statement.
    “No No!!” The Doctor ran to Night and began shaking him, “Tell me what that means, Silence will fall!!”
    Night slowly came to, “Silence will fall??”
    “Yes, yes!! What does it mean?!”
    “It means . . . Doctor! What happened?”
    “NO!” The Doctor walked back to the TARDIS control panel, “NO! I know you are in there, somewhere, and I will do what I have to to find out who you are! You can't hide from me. You can't hide from me because I'm the Doctor, I am a Timelord, I can feel a planet spin beneath my feet and I can see right through you!! So whenever you are done hiding, I will be here ready to fight!”
    “Doctor?”
    “What?!”
    “We've stopped.”
    “Oh . . . well then,” the Doctor became cheery again, “let's go outside.” The Doctor made his way to the TARDIS door. “Ready to see Earth for yourself?”
    “Yes!” Night was eager to see why the Doctor would give his life for a single planet.
    The Doctor opened the door and walked outside with Night. The first thing the Doctor noticed was a woman with short blonde hair running up to them.
    “There you are, I have been looking for you for ages!!” The woman was running right at the Doctor.
    The Doctor couldn't believe it, “Ro-”
    “Night!!” The woman ran right past the Doctor and clung to Night as if they were good friends.
    “Umh, have we met?” Night was curious as to why the strange girl was hugging him.
    “You don't remember me?”
    “No, sorry should I?”
    “Umh, excuse me,” the Doctor interrupted, “Rose!”
    “Yeah,” Rose answered back, “and who are you?"
    ~~Okay so there is that. Yes, I do know Rose isn't dead and no the Doctor didn't go too far back. This is after . . . well you should know what happened to her. If you have any criticism it would be appreciated. Any ideas, PM or VM me. And if you just feel like you need to say something, say it. Thank you all for reading, chapter four will be coming soon ^_^
    Chapter 4: Real Nightmares
    “Rose!” the Doctor was hasty, “it's me, the Doctor!”
    “Doctor Who?!” Rose replied with her usual attitude.
    The Doctor looked away as if the only thing he cared for had just been taken from him. “She doesn't remember . . . she doesn't remember me,” the Doctor was thinking. “Wait a minute,” the Doctor turned to Night, “why does she remember YOU!” The Doctor began closing in on Night with rage building inside him.
    “I- I don't know I swear it!” Night replied, fearing the Doctor.
    The Doctor sighed and thought for a moment, “No, you wouldn't.” The Doctor began pacing back and forth, back and forth until finally he stopped, “It doesn't make any sense!”
    “Oi, what's his problem?” Rose asked Night.
    Night ignored Rose and began thinking himself, “Perhaps a change in time . . . Doctor i-”
    The Doctor was rushing away. Night quickly followed. When the Doctor stopped he was buying a paper off a street vendor. “Thank you, good day,” the Doctor said as he was quick to open the document. “Let's see here, no . . . no . . . no . . . no . . . NO!” The Doctor threw the paper on the ground, “Useless!”
    “W- what's wrong Doctor?”
    “There isn't anything in there, not a thing.”
    “That's the way we like it.”
    “What?!”
    “What?” Night was puzzled.
    “I am getting really, really tired of that! I don't care whether it is your fault or not, you are still partially to blame here.”
    “Partially,” Night had a certain sarcasm in his tone.
    “Okay so whoever you were before y-y-y-you were powerful, evil, erh something! . . . You were . . . No, it couldn't be!” the Doctor quickly looked away.
    “Oh yes Doctor, you know exactly what it is. Just say it, then everything will be fine. Just say those four magnificent words . . . You are a-”
    “Stop, RIGHT NOW!!!” The Doctor was infuriated, “Just stop and don't say another word!”
    “Oh, but Doctor, you know my secret . . . you know why I can't keep my memories . . . and to top it off, you even felt my heart to prove it to be true,” Night was recalling when the Doctor had checked Night earlier on. “Which heart did you feel?”
    The Doctor leaned against the wall and slid to the ground with a blank expression, “The one on your right.” The Doctor looked at the ground.
    “There it is, that is the look I was wanting. Too bad really, I was having a bit of fun running with you. One of us has to stop running though, which one will it be?”
    The Doctor closed his eyes and was trying to think, “Me . . . No, that would be too easy wouldn't it?”
    “Quite so Doctor . . . wait, what were we saying?” Night once again lost his memory.
    “Never mind!” The Doctor quickly rose to his feet, “Say Night you wouldn't have a, phhh, I don't know, say a pocket watch would you?”
    Night felt around, “Yeah actually I do!” Night pulled the watch out and stared at it, as if it would show him who he was.
    The Doctor grabbed it away, “Ah, this here is a fine watch, fine watch indeed.” The Doctor began examining the watch closely, “Yep, I say this would be a great watch for any man to have . . . Mind telling me where you got it?”
    “I- I don't know, some old guy gave it to me I think.”
    “Yes, he was the one to do that.”
    “What?!”
    “Never mind, now do you know what happens when this watch is opened?”
    “No, I-”
    “Well then . . . you're about to find out,” the Doctor opened the watch and directed it at Night.
    Night started fusing with a light-like energy flowing from the watch. “Aaaaagghhh!! D-Doctor what is this?” Night began to stumble around.
    “That,” the Doctor bluntly expressed, “is you. That is the true, one hundred percent real, you. I am sorry that we couldn't have more time together, I really am. I just want you to know that if and when I have to defeat you . . . it isn't the you I met back on Bloom.”
    Night began to understand. Night chuckled, “Ha, yea I understand. Just make it quick and painless . . . if you can.”
    The Doctor nodded his head, “Wouldn't have it any other way.”
    Night began glowing even brighter and stumbled back, “Though I will never know a life outside this cage, I will never forget how it is I came to be here!” A blast of light poured from Night blinding everything.
    The Doctor looked back when he could see again, “W-Where did he go?” Night was gone. He had ran away the second his transformation had been completed.
    “Doctor!” Rose came running around the corner.
    “Rose?” The Doctor was puzzled as to why Rose could remember his name.
    “Doctor!” Rose ran up and hugged the Doctor, “Why didn't you tell me you were back?”
    “W-What? Rose, do you know what happened to Night?”
    “Night Who? I saw this weird guy run past and he gave me this,” Rose hands the Doctor a note, “he said it was for you.”
    The Doctor read the note, “Dear Doctor, I don't have long before I lose control of myself figured I would do you one last favor. There was a built in mechanism in a device I had that would make someone in my proximity have memories of me, for obvious reasons. PS The girl has the TARDIS key, I figured that I would always have Bloom.”
    The Doctor started laughing, “Brilliant! Absolutely marvelous!”
    “What?” Rose was confused.
    “Nothing, just an old friend who gave me one last gift before he had to go away.”
    “Oh! Can't you see him again?”
    “No,” the Doctor saddened a bit but was still cheery, “no he won't be coming back. The man you saw will never see me again, nor I him.”
    “That's sad . . . anyway, what are you doing in this universe?”
    “What d'you mean ME, how did you get here?” They both stopped talking for a minute.
    “Wait, so I am in my original universe again . . . how?”
    “I don't know, thought you would.” The Doctor was becoming irritated.
    Rose slowly shook her head, “Last thing I remember I was having a meal with y-” Rose became a little embarrassed.
    “So wait, Night didn't bring you here, I didn't bring you hear, and you didn't bring yourself here . . . So what did?”
    ~~Okay so there was that bit of **** . . . sorry that wasn't my best work. I just feel like I messed something up but that was the best of a bad situation *sigh* anyway, Yes I know WT* right but still. Yes Night is a
