And yes, that was the first appearance of the red setting! When you showed me yours I didn't want to be all "... there's a red setting?" and have you be like "yes misty he uses it all the time don't you pay attention."

 

Omg, yeah especially when you learn more about River. =D You'll just love the episodes even more.

 

When you learn more about River, go back and watch those 2 again. There will be tears.

I admit Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead, she was okay, but she just gets worse as time goes on.
And I realize that

we're actually going backwards in her timeline and she was inevitably going to get a bit worse as time went on

but really, the way Moffat handles her is terrible. Which is saying something because I quite like most of his work. >_>

I'm honestly hoping she doesn't show up much in series 7.

Also I refuse to count that marriage as valid because a)It wasn't really the Doctor, it was the Tesselecta (no matter that he was inside). b)It was an alternate universe that no longer exists. c)I feel like he only married her so she'd let the universe be fixed, and so he could tell her what to tell Ten when the time came.

Perhaps that seems selfish, but I honestly can't see him as actually being IN LOVE with her. Platonic love, maybe, but nothing beyond that.

Indeed. It does not have the same chemistry as the other companions. It is a plot device and nothing more; quite obviously. Rose forever. ~ ♥

 

I can't remember much from the episodes. That was a good 2 episodes, and I remember him being good in it, but I just can't remember it for hte life of me. Still, even knowing about River doesn't make me upset about what happened at the end. After all, you saw what he did, so there's no need to be upset. In fact, there's really been no Doctor Who episode that has made me upset. A little bored, like Midnight, but that's it.

Speaking of Doctor Who, anyone know when they're going to keep going? And what was the last Christmas Special about this time? I missed it because I had no TV

 

Everyone here is going to as far as I know. It is a given.

Yeah, not super happy that BOOM! They marry. Like there wasn't real love development. There's like teasing and what not, but I mean, we didn't see much interaction enough to say they can marry. Besides the whole marrying thing, I think that River is a nice character who is as brave and kickbutt as the doctor. I still think her death is kinda sad though.

Eh....I dunno about Rose and the Doctor....really Rose was quite boring. Donna is still the best companion. She worked really well with the Doctor, had the most tragic ending, and didn't go falling in love with him. I really think the whole love thing for the Doctor is kinda distracting. He kinda works best as a single guy.

They're going to show new eps towards the end of the year and the Christmas Special was about a woman who helped the doctor just a few years before WWI, then her husband died in the war. The Doctor comes to help her get through this sad time around christmas. The woman's son goes through a portal that the doctor put in a gift box and then the doctor and the woman's daughter go rescue him. Then the woman goes through the portal to save her children.

Not going to say more about it. You can always download/stream the episode.

 

Yes, but so far Rose has been the best romantic interest.

 

I guess? With only 4 real companions (In the new series and 1 of them who didn't fall for the doctor) I guess Rose is kinda the best one out of the choices available. Martha was just eh......
Martha just went with the doctor JUST cause she liked him. Like she could've been more without liking him the whole time. Rose and the Doctor...I dunno....I'm being really strong in my opinion and saying that I don't like Rose, but at least there was development for this relationship. River and the Doctor...no real development and she seemed like a Mary Sue (but oddly, I like her).

 

I really hate her. It is hard to fathom how much I hate her. I twitch every time she says "Hello, Sweetie." or "Spoilers!". Every. Time.

 

Rofl. Poor River. xD I must say though, it was pretty cool when she killed that Dalek with no mercy at the slightest.

There were quite a few DVD extras which gave you a better idea of them getting closer but I suppose it still wasn't loads. Doesn't mean I don't like her I think she was great and I loved the concept of 2 time travellers meeting in the wrong order.

 

Yeah, the idea of her and the doctor meeting out of order is awesome and really reflects Moffat's knowledge of time travel. Just like how he did Don't Blink. Seriously, Moffat is a genius when writing about time travel.
