Come on think about it, Yen Sid taught Mickey everything about magic and keyblade welding. He knows alot of powerful magic that only he can do. He knows alot more than he's giving out, I mean where does he get his information from? He is the almighty Wizard, he would make a great ultimate boss dontcha think?

I think it would be strange to say the least. As a retired master, we only see him sit, walk, and explain.
(I don't even think his character model has legs...)
Not saying it's impossible, but unless he just waves his arms slowly and performs devastating magical abilities, I really don't see it.
Perhaps a younger form where he looks like he can fight, or a GIANT YEN SID.
Could you imagine slashing away at his face?

    He has legs

He can teleport sora to bigger fighting area and he can levitate himself around the area debuffing Sora's main attributes while increasing his own. When he use a Devastating magical attack he can have a Reflectza around him. He can Summon help as well.
When he's defeated he can transform himself into a younger more powerful form and that's when sh*t gets real xD

Lol as far as the giant version-maybe, just maybe.

    Magic mirror part two

He could always teleport or use an advanced version of Stopraga. He would probably be insanely OP, but it could be a canon thing if he wants to test out the abilities of a Keyblade master.

It could be a scenario where you have to walk up to him and ask to test your skills against him. It would actually be a really cool addition on Nomura's part.

I think fighting Yen Sid as a secret boss would be great. I wonder if he still has his Keyblade and if he can still use it. Does retired mean that he cannot use a Keyblade anymore?

Fighting him wouldn't be such a bad thing, especially since we know he was a former keyblade master alongside Earqus and Xehanort, so I'm sure we can at least say he's as powerful as Xehanort. I mean, Xehanort's one of the most overpowered characters in Kingdom Hearts, kinda like Sosuke Aizen in Bleach, but I'm sure that fighting Yen Side might be something like him using a lot of spells from his keyblade instead of using physical based attacks

Isn't Terranort technically the strongest because Xehanort went inside of terra because he needed a younger much stronger body so with Xehanorts and Terra's power combined he is technically the strongest

You get what I mean. He's still the strongest character, and besides, Terranort is still Xehanort; Xehanort's just using Terra's body

Having the Big Good being defeated wouldn't be very cool in my eyes. Maybe if he's holding back...

I really don't see something like that happening. Not only is he a good guy, but there's almost a zero possibility of him becoming a heartless. I wouldn't really enjoy fighting him though as i'm sure he'd be a very tough boss. Nonetheless I can't see him being anything less than a "test of strength" battle. Something to that effect.

Riku is a good guy and he was the final boss of 358/2 Days.
    I agree.

Well what you said about it being a test of strength battle isn't the only way. I'd say it would depend on who you are controlling. If you are controlling Riku it could happen because Xehanort still has some of his heart in Riku giving Yen Sid just cause to fight and Vanquish What is left of Xehanort.

I very much agree with what you're saying about him being the test of strength mini boss or something xD I doubt he'd be doing much else. Though, this is Nomura we are speaking here, so he just might whip something on us in surprise... I don't know, like maybe an evil copy of Yen Sid or something? (I highly doubt its the case but still xD)

It should be interesting to see, that's for certain.

Quick question, am I the only one that found him just a little suspicious in kh 2 after Sora left? I mean the scene before Yen sid left he looked just a little suspicious, he had like a strange grin on his face........anyways as far as a boss, it can be like before the final world in the game you can enter his tower then talk to him. He would say something like they have learned a great value from him and before the training ends he would like to test them, so it would be like a full fledged boss battle (he would be hard as hell) with 18 health bars. Then when you defeat him, he would like teleport them into a unknown area. Yen sid would soon transform into a younger much stronger version, were things turn difficult to "Screw that!"

Why should it be that hard? Think about it, in most RPG's every secret boss is hard as hell. That's the main purpose of a secret boss.

No--I don't think he would want to be a boss because he's a good guy. If a Heartless takes over him--then that's a different story. But no--I don't think Sora should fight Yen Sid.

Yen Sid being taken over by a heartless? That's gotta be one hell of a heartless, considering how powerful he is, having worked with both Eraqus and as a fellow keyboard wielder in his youth. Not impossible, I know.

But it's a bit hard seeing that happen at the moment. Though, depending on how the story unfolds, that could be an option, you never know.
