Didn't know where to place this, think it's a good question to ask. In the newer Kingdom Hearts games there has been a lack of Final Fantasy characters. I'm sure there are many fans, myself included, that hope in future Kingdom Hearts games there are more Final Fantasy characters then there have been in the recent games cough 365/2 days cough Birth by Sleep cough. My question is, "Should there be more Final Fantasy(characters, worlds, etc) in future Kingdom Hearts games?" In your replies you can explain in detail the reasons for your answerer and, if you said yes, mention some of the things you wish to be in future Kingdom Hearts games.

I would have liked it to have more Final Fantasy in it, yeah. If it wasn't for the fact that Final Fantasy characters were gonna be in it I probably never would have bought KH1. Since games based on shows, movies and such never really tend to be good.

I think there should be more FF in the KH games, possibly spread them out a little more than they did in KH2, have them in a couple of worlds instead of just Hollow Bastion. Final Fantasy IX character in the next one plox.

No. Kingdom Hearts needs to separate themselves from FF and make their own name.

I believe that one of the reasons that Birth by Sleep had so few Final Fantasy characters was because it was 10 years before Kingdom Hearts -- timeline issues could have arisen. Zack was so easy because he dies before Kingdom Hearts can take place.

Personally though, I always viewed the Final Fantasy characters as kind of guests, almost easter eggs of a sort. Their side stories were interesting and they definitely helped to create the Kingdom Hearts atmosphere, but I can't say I want them to play a larger role.

i think there should be more FF characters because that's pretty much the hook that Kingdom Hearts originally used, a combination between Final Fantasy and Disney.

i also believe that the FF cameos appearing in Olympus Coliseum are the reason no one seems to mind the fact that Olympus Coliseum appears in every single KH game.

I don't exactly think that's it though, since if you notice, they aren't exactly canon with their FF counterparts. Quite frankly, I think they should keep it how it is, but give them a bigger role in the story than in previous games. The only ones that really seemed important in any KH game are Leon and Aerith, since Leon knew quite a bit about the Keyblade and Aerith knew about Ansem's reports.

And as far as FF in general, I'd like to see some worlds loosely based on FF worlds. To give an example, due to the fact that Radiant Garden appears to be the most advanced in technology, I could see it having a sort of Midgar situation in KH3 or another future game.

Well I'm sure it was one of the contributing factors, I mean I would love to see Lulu snuck in there somehow but seeing as Tidus was around Sora's age in KH1, it would just be strange. They don't really keep too close to their Final Fantasy counterparts, true, and I'm sure they could get away with it if they tried, but I would be a little annoyed if there's a, like, a 14-year-old Balthier and an 80-year-old Ashe chilling in the corridors of Sleeping Beauty's castle, lol.

And honestly, if they were going to do a Midgar situation I could see them just making it its own world. FFVII is so insanely popular and they did kind of give you the "oh hay I'm Tifa and I'm going to go look for Cloud now that he disappeared into the sky" cliffhanger that could set it up well. On the other hand, they've already made Radiant Garden Cloud, Yuffie, and Aerith's home, so who knows? they could pull a Midgar in Radiant Garden.

Well, we have seen a 14/15 year old Zack, and Balthier would probably work pretty well in Radiant Garden, probably as some kind of rival or assistant to Cid due to his sky pirate-ness. If he ends up being younger, maybe an apprentice of some sort. I could also see him in appearing in Port Royal.

And as far as the Midgar-like situation goes, that's sort of why I said that. I was thinking they'd take the Lifestream and change it to the world's heart or something.

As for the Tifa/Cloud/Sprothe subplot, I think it should continue with Tifa finding Cloud and going back to Radiant Garden with no other real development.

I think there should be more variety, like bring some more in. The amount that's in the games is alright, and I do understand why Zack was the only character in BBS, but there can't be too many characters at once.

I also didn't know anything about Final Fantasy until Kingdom Hearts came out.

I think that there should be some FF worlds. I mean going to disney worlds is awesome, but i think having hard core worlds would also help intergrate more FF characters. Lets see some Onion Knight, Jecht, and the others klck some backside!

While I am not totally unhappy with the current amount of Final Fantasy in the Kingdom Hearts series, I feel there is more of a Final Fantasy feel to the storyline. However, a world other than Twilight/Traverse Town and Radient Garden would be good. Maybe we'll go to Gaia in KH3, considering that Clound and Sephiroth dissappeared somewhere I assme to be there after the fight. I think some more character from FF would be good such as people from 1-6, 9 and 13 would be good. However, I'm not for a total 50-50 split. Those characters already had games and if they are too much in Kingdom Hearts, it kinda cheapens it. I don't quite know how to explain it. Anyway, thanks for reading ^_^.

Well yeah. I prefer they keep on adding FF characters from newer or older FFs, like from FFXIII for example.

I believe that the FF characters should be spread out variously onto other worlds rather than just be plonked into one or two places, but yeah, adding an extra few FF characters surely can't do any harm, right? As long as they don't overshadow the whole story and such, and stick to subplots. Also, an FF related world would be epic, considering that it would add a more different feel to the variety of worlds out there.

At the same time though, I don't think there should be too much FF related material (at the moment there's a good balance between the two) in the game, otherwise Kingdom Hearts would only begin to feel like a cheap imitation of the FF series.

They could always use a couple of FF worlds, since then it would take more time until they run out of Disney worlds that they can use. I'm fine with it like it is though, but wouldn't hurt with some more FFIX characters. :B

I honestly WOULD like a FFXII world when Sora pretty much replaces Vaan, Balthier in Kingdom Hearts would be amazing.

I like the Final Fantasy characters in the game, they always find interesting parts for them all, but I'm not too keen on having the world of a FF character as one of the worlds. Sure, it would be awesome, fer sherr, but it wouldn't really relate to the plot too much because apparently all the FF characters can combat the Heartless themselves, so there wouldn't be much need for Sora there. I'm all for the characters having more prominent roles in the games, however.

Seconded definitely, other Final Fantasy games I can't really see this working because the main character is so important to the story, but Vaan and Penelo are a little useless, lol.

I don't think a world completely based on any FF would work very well. As I said, they should really just make them more loosely based on the games. For example, ave the same type of situation and landscape, but change some critical things that make it, in your example, FFXII. That would allow for a more unique world. Disney worlds are sort of special and in my opinion should be the only worlds that have their stories based on their movies. ot exactly sure how to put it, but you probably know what I mean. After mulling it over, I don't really think that FF characters should be in worlds based on their games anyway. Keeping with the Balthier example: A young(er) Balthier, as I said before, should appear in Hollow Bastion as Cid's apprentice. He could also be normal age and appear as a cameo in Port Royal or become a friend/rival of Cid's in Hollow Bastion.

That's true, but they do have Aerith in the series, which never made sense to me. Oh well, I guess the creators of the game can do whatever they want as long as they don't bring too much of the FFVII story into things.

I agree. ^^ The Final Fantasy characters add onto the game, but I don't feel as if they should be focused on more. Kingdom Hearts is its own game, and it shouldn't have to depend on another series to run. It's great the Final Fantasy attracts more people to the Kingdom Hearts series, but I'd be saddened if Final Fantasy eventually became all that the series was about.

I would like a few more Final Fantasy "easter eggs", but I wouldn't want them to dominate different plots. It would be interesting to see how they would do a Final Fantasy world, but I'm not sure if it would be a good thing to do or not.

I think they should bring Wakka, Tidus, and Selphie back in the third one. So yes I think there should be more FF in KH.
