Okay, yeah. Another one of these stupid threads asking a stupid question that really doesn't matter. But I've been seeing a trend lately. a ton of my friends and aquaintences dislike their name and wish they were born with a different one, and many of their parents won't let them change it. I used to want a different name in elementary school, which was Nick. Mostly because of that Jimmy Neutron cartoon, but now I'm happy with my name, which is Ben. and I think the reason is because I know the meaning behind it. It's Hebrew for "son." and I appreciate it more knowing that, but not everybody knows what their name means. Well, enough rambling.

So anyways, do you like your name?

My name is Alexandra, I really like my name actually xD I like that it's not a very common name. When I was younger I wished my name was Dana, but now that I'm older I really appreciate my name.

I used to want a different name, but now I just don't care anymore. It's a means of identifying yourself and that's all, whether you like it or not that's how people know you and that's how it'll be no matter what your name is. I wish my last name was easier for people to spell/remember/understand though.

I hate my name. But I don't think I'll ever change it because, well, it's me. :/ And if I change it I feel like that's disrespectful to my parents personally and I also don't think I'd feel like me anymore without MY name.

I like my name. 8D No one ever remembers how to spell it and not many people have it. It's Hawaiian (and Russian) but my mom accidently added an extra letter in the way it was spelt in the Hawaiian way. Meliea :P It means "Quiet Water" in Hawaiian but in Russian it means "Apple"....xD

I never really had a problem with my name (Michelle). I like it. I keep getting different meanings when I try to look it up. XD "Who is like God?" (actually with a question mark.... my name is a question? o.O).
Anyways, no, I'm fine with it. It's not my most favourite name in the world, but I like it. Except the fact that I usually have at least another Michelle in most of my classes.

^ This. I don't want a different last name, I just wish people would stop making it more complicated than it really is. 'Tis one o' dem Oirish names wif teh funny "O" then an apostrophe. The rest is simple, but somehow two capitals and an apostrophe throws everybody off. :B|:

    Heh, Amber's a pretty good name. ;)

Yes, I do like my name. A few years ago, I didn't, because I thought you couldn't make any nicknames out of it. Jennifer could get shortened to Jenny, Alexander to Alex, etc. But I could never think of a nickname for myself.

Well, as you can see, I have plenty of nicknames, 3 of which are derived from my first name, so I don't have a reason to hate it anymore.

Although I do think my middle name is slightly prettier than my first name.

    D'aw. I like it.

I just wish I could white out the last letter of my name. I feel awkward saying it. Although it actually makes my name more...proper.

I like my name. The name I don't like is my middle name. I hate it.

For my first name, I actually like it because, well it's different than to the common version of it. XD A lot of people think my name is Viviana when they first met me but my real name is Vivian. My parents didn't like the name Viviana so they just named me Vivian.

Since I'm Hispanic, people think my parents were weird for naming me Vivian instead of it with an "a" at the end. I've been told Vivian fits me because of my personality and all that. Also, I like it because not many people have it surprisingly. Vivian is kind of a rare name. I've only met one person that had the same name of me.

I like my first and last name, not my middle name. The thing that just annoys me is that, as said before, I wish it'd be easier for people to say or spell my last name. They say it all weird and laugh when they try pronouncing it. B|

I like my name. It's extremely rare. The only person who has my name uses it as a last name.

Nah, I'm not really a fan of my name. I'm not a religious person, and Angelina means "messanger of God." >> Ironic, right? xD Anyway, I plan on going into the entertainment business, so I was thinking of using 'Garxena' as my stage name. But that's still a long way away and a lot can happen. But even thought I don't love my name, I won't legally change it. My parents gave it to me, and it's the best gift anyone can get. I'll keep my name, no matter how many time people call me Angelina Jolie. ><

I always thought my name [Austin] was alright. Once you have your name and hear it constantly for a few decades in life, you might find it to get boring and take it for granted, seeing as you were not the one to chose it. It's all based on personal preferance, though I have yet to hear of one person who absolutly ADORES their name.

Long story short, I dont mind it, though I wouldve picked something else if given the chance.
