Ok so some people will agree some will disagree i repsect that. i think that there shouldnt be a command deck in kingdom hearts 3. i want them to bring back the old command list (kh, kh2, kh 358) and reaction commands. Am i the only one who thinks this is a good idea?

Disagree. I really think command decks was the best thing to happen to KH. Now if they find a way to combine the two battle systems, I'm open to that.

There should be a dual system. By default, the command deck, but if, lets say one holds down the L1 button and scrolls or something, it'll switch to a temporary Command list for drive modes and summons. Almost like.... A PARADIGM SHIFT :'D

I liked the deck personally. I did have a problem with it in Olympus Coliseum in Re:Coded though, but that's because I didn't have an L button.

The command deck was great. I could access my magic way faster than I could with the list.

So far they have only been doing this with the portable games so its most likely not going to happen.

    Not really a big deal

Command deck was great for the portable games, but I doubt it would work as well with the console ones. Something I would want to see in KH III is command styles.

and i also dont like the command menu. I want the orignal back. They put big abilities in there and it kills the hype really quickly. I like building up like they did in kh1. and earn my abilities through leveling.

I though the command deck was in there for portables because there wasnt a d-pad or less buttons.

    Less buttons, maybe. D-pad, no.

I think that the deck system is great, not only that a lot of great magic sleights are only accessable by this method because of the possibility of mixing magics/attacks and select the better ones. I think the game should always evolve.. since the deck system began it has been present (always evolving) in the series.. I would miss if it wasnt there. Even before the modern derck system there was chain of memories card deck system that was awesome, and deaply conected to the present one in BBs/358days/Re:Codded.
I think that they can improve the deck system, but shouldn't come back to a crappier system of button smashing.

Thats PSP. analog stick was still horrible to use on the PSP. Either way I thought the command deck was awful. Really hope we get the normal one. They are doing it in versus. I hope we get that. Oh and the reaction commands!

Oops. DS STILL had a d-pad though. And do you really prefer button smashing or strategy variety? I for one prefer strategy and variety. Reaction commands are awesome too, though.

there isnt strategy in either way except dodge and blocking. It's not fun when you have the same Combos and big moves at the start. I want to earn abilities throughout the game not make them. Like getting fire upgraded to fira. I hate being interrupted half the time with commands.

And yes I prefer button mashing over any style of gameplay!

I agree. The deck system is decent and offers far more choice that will hopefully go up to Final Fantasy level and individual spell cooldowns were desperately needed. My main complaint with the system is that using it is really awkward; you fight a bit, spam-cast some spells, hit with keyblade a few times, then run around in circle staring at deck, furiously searching for cure with D-pad and eventually hitting it, look up and you are running into the level border. I think the two systems are almost identical, though I prefered the old menu better as it has nice animations and felt more organised, but they both suffer the fatal flaw of being too slow. Kingdom Hearts' fighting system is far too clunky for such fast paced action and needs button combinations, that KH2 lightly touched upon, for at least the keyblade (to prevent x spamming) and more L1 action for the spells. I also loathe and detest gaining a deck slot as a reward, just learning the spell should be enough.
    *Oh and **** reaction commands

I loved the command decks and it was just so easy to access and I hope they bring this back in KH3 or come up with a whole other system.

I much rather the command menu since in the other games yes you do use attack but its not as worthwhile using the attack command partly since you can't do any amazing combos or anything. I'd rather have spells and some summons over the command deck but hey that just me. Personally the abilities in the other games just... are kinda dull really while in kh1 and 2 they feel more worthwhile gettings, like it'll make a difference.
