Do Other People do This?

Alright--so at school I have a say hi to a random person day and give a hug to a random person day. I'm wondering if other people on this site do this... If I spot someone random, I'll say hi to them and give them a hug. :3

I wouldn't want to hug anyone I didn't know intimately.

 

I have the feeling he thinks it would end up like this :

 

I don't even hug my family why would I hug anyone else? But I do have this weird thing I do. If I see something someone has that I know about I go up to them and kinda gloat about my experiences with that particular item. But the weird part is when I do that I talk in rhyme.

 

No, I don't hug random people. Sure, it's possible it'll brighten their day, but they could be uncomfortable with strangers hugging them. From a personal stand point, I don't like people getting into my space; as a result, I don't get into theirs. Some people simply feel uncomfortable with people they don't know hugging them. Some people feel uncomfortable with people they do know hugging them. If you're going to continue "Hug a Random Person" Day, please ask before you hug them. You could be making their day worse rather than better.

But continue saying hi. That's just polite.

 

I have a friend who does this even to teachers. We think he needs help...

 

It's alright to hug strangers, as long as they don't hug back.

 

Why? What happens when the hug back?

 

It get's wierd and i'm all like, "Ew ew ew ew ew!! Why are you touching me you wierdo! Get away from me!" . . .

 

Then why hug him in the first place??

 

I just have a button that says it's okay to hug me lol. Perhaps you should invest in free hugs buttons. Then you won't awkwardly hug a stranger but strangers will know it is okay to hug you if you would like.
My school has sit by new people at lunch day but that's the closest equivalent.

 

Because, what if they wanted to be all nice and be like, "Why thank you young lad, I really needed that to cheer me up. Here, take this big ole bag full of money as a reward." And i'd be all like, "Kay!" and go buy a new wardrobe cause i'm burning those clothes I had on. XD
