I use it, and I can't say if it's better then Windows 7, but it's certainly not worse than it.

Did it myself a while ago, while it was still free. Aside from being slower to start up I have yet to notice any significant difference. But then it' s not as if I expected or cared about new things in the first place, I wouldn' t mind being stuck with windows 98 in that regard. I only made the jump because I knew compatibility issues would be bound to show up sooner or later.

Worst case scenario you could get back to whatever you' re on right now. Or have both.

 

10 is pretty cool

 

I did it a few months ago and haven't had any major issues. The privacy stuff is fixed with a guide & an extra 10-15 minutes, and the only real issue I have is when the taskbar locks up (only when I've left my comp on for days and it's fixed with shutdown or booting into Safe Mode real quick). If you do, idt it would be an issue
