do humidifiers help reduce dust?

for whatever reason my room seems to be covered in dust all the time. I just did a thorough dusting of everything like a week ago, and I am constantly dusting off my computer and everything else in my room. I heard that technology contributes to dust buildup, but the only technology that I have constantly running in my room is my computer, my television is rarely on during the day.

I read that air purifiers (whatever those are) and humidifiers help reduce dust, and my family has a humidifier because I had to use it when I was really young. If that would work I will use it.

Seriously though, this dust problem is annoying and scary. I'm terrified of getting any dust under screens of handhelds and my computer, I'm very finicky, I like everything to be in top-notch condition, dust under a screen is not acceptable if I can do anything to prevent it.

Do you have a lawn in your front and backyard or is it all dirt?

We still get dust, but once we got the grass to grow up in our backyard, it reduced dust levels significantly.

In a neighborhood in a city?

I mean, no, but it seems like within the past few years my room has had a real dust problem. I haven't noticed anywhere else in the house, but then again I don't really pay attention to anywhere else.

Get a vaporizer instead, smoke weed, and then forget about the dust.

Increasing humidity can help keep the dust out of the air (the dust attaches to the droplets of water and falls). It is a property I use alot when I'm applying screen protectors since my whole house can be rather dusty.

Also a couple things to note on dust. Most dust is originally skin and dandruff that flakes off, so the more time you spend in one place the more dusty it gets. Also consider how you're cleaning the dust, dry dusting leaves most of it nearby just waiting to get picked back up in any air current.

I don't need to smoke to relax. If I have to rely on some external substance to relax then that's a problem I need to fix for myself, at least that's how I see it.

There is any construction around you? I noticed that ever since they start a building around the corner my room gets dusty all the time, I already cleanned twice this week.. the way that I find to keep it clean for more time is by closing the windows.. and thats bad as you lose the wind :(...
But responding your question yes humidifiers help! I don't know how dry is where you live for the difference be more or less noticible.
