    According to Wikipedia:
"Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In Brave, a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts. Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (Robbie Coltrane). Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch (Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late."

I find that kind of vague, but it still looks mighty interesting. And the art seems to be a style change for Pixar. The girl's face has some Pixar characteristics, but other than that, it looks very unique. And plus Craig Ferguson is in it, so like duh I'm seeing it.

You saw the trailer, or information about the movie? o.O I thought the teaser was first seen as one of the trailers on Cars 2.

    Craig Ferguson = c:

I heard that as well. Didn't see the movie. Only saw people talking about the trailer for Brave, and immediately ran to YouTube. :3

I would say that it has a How To Train Your Dragon feel to it, buuuuuuuuuut I don't want to make that judgement until we see a 2 minute theatrical trailer.

I think it looks pretty interesting. To be honest it feels more like a game than a movie, if that makes sense?

I did have to lol at the stereotype of the ginger Scot.

It looks like a good movie, and of course I am going to watch it, but the girl's face looks weird to me. Maybe if she had straight hair instead of curly hair. I don't know.

I was excited about the visuals and the setting, until I saw her face. It looks absolutely terrible. I was hoping they would have gone with a more realistic approach to the characters like Andy from Toy Story 3, but I guess not.

Hopefully they will change her face by the time of the movie.

Yeah, I hope so too. Still interested in knowing more about this film though. Pixar needs something good to make up for Cars 2.

It kind of looks more like Tangled, rather than Toy Story. I think it may seem off-putting to some because her face is too round, and cartoonish.

It seems like an interesting premise, to be honest. I probably wouldn't see it, though. It's not really my type of movie. Unless the story is a bit more complex and darker than most pixar films.

    This.
Certain Pixar movies deserve to be light and cheery, but that doesn't seem to be the premise. Unfortunately, people will be watching this movie expecting it to be cheery as well, and if it is, then I don't think I'll go see it. Just my thoughts.

Seems rather serious for one of these animated movies by Pixar. It does look rather interesting, but the girl doesn't really fit in with the rest of the visuals and the world, maybe that's the point though? I dunno. It looks like it might be a solid film based on the information so far.

That trailer gave me goosebumps and it lagged a lot xD I didn't truly understand what it was about but I think it looks amazing, you don't usually get Disney films set over here in the UK, let alone Scotland so I'm really happy about how they are covering all basis. Also, the cast of voice actors sounds great, I'll happily go see it just for Billy Conolly but with the others as well as the riveting plot and trailer, I will definitely go see it when it comes out. Disney has very rarely disappointed me so I can be sure of watching this and being entertained.

My theory is that they made the animation in the trailer look more serious than the movie as a whole. They only show you glimpses of the horse and the bear. I think those two creatures will be similarly animated to the girl; they just just kind of disguised it in the trailer so that it would look "intense" and "suspenseful". xD

Bump because it comes out this month! I'm really excited for this film, hopefully Pixar can snap back into shape with it after so many people were disappointed with Cars 2.

Early pre-screening reviews are coming in, too. I'm a little concerned that there's already a negative there, but considering Pixar's track record it'll probably fare well with critics for the most part.

I really loved this movie. I thought that it had a great message and story. This was a really great disney movie, which I haven't seen in awhile. If anybody hasn't seen this yet, I would urge you to do so, it's really great movie. It has it's humor, and it's serious moments, good balance of both too.

I have to say I was really disappointed in it. I mean I don't think its bad, but it just felt way too loose???

Also, its really weird to say, but it felt more Disney than Pixar, I know its redundant to say that since Disney bought Pixar or whatever, but i dont know if it was just the fantasy element that Pixar uses for the first time, or the songs that played over the scenes which seemed really odd, but Brave just feels off.

    Why is this called Brave?
I mean sure Merida is brave and that last line in the film, but another title would have been better again idk.

I really did not know what I was expecting for Brave, since it really did not interest me in the first place, I just went to see it with my sisters. But I was really not expecting
the mom to turn into a bear?
I mean its a PRETTY BIG PART OF THE PLOT, why wasnt this in the advertising?? Did Pixar really want to shock the crowd THAT bad? In the advertising its just looks like some rebellious girl coming of age crap or something
BUT WAIT THE MOM TURNS INTO A BEAR AND THEY BOND AND STUFF

I know I said negative things about it, but I did get to the verge of tears at some scenes and the movie is also beautiful to look at which never hurts. I mean it is a GOOD movie, but definitely not great like Pixars other films. I guess I was expecting a lot more from Pixar.

edit: wow i rambled on i will edit later but right now its midnight so yeah
