Hey, look! Something unrelated to the bills! Source: Huffington Post Date of Publication: 1/23/2012, 2:46 PM PST / 5:46 PM EST
That's good, I'm sure Jafar is happy. Spoiler Creepy irony of last thread I was in... Seriously speaking I didn't know they restricted facial hair...I'd guess it was because they wanted their staff to constantly have well groomed appearance. Wonder why they decided to change the policy now? You'd think they would have either not changed it or done it some time ago.
wait, Disney actually had a policy of no facial hair? And then it was changed to only allowing a mustache if it was grown during vacation? And only now are they allowing things like beards and stuff? ....did I miss something here? Who the heck came up with this?
stuff like this doesn't seem uncommon for theme parks. i remember a friend of mine wanted to work for Six Flags but had to cut his hair because it was like a ponytail and also had to shave his mustache. i've heard similar stories about other theme parks as well. so good for Disney for revising that silly rule, i wonder what the reason for this was. and yes, it is actually very refreshing to hear news unrelated to Megaupload or SOPA.
I guess it could have been because it's mainly for children, and the possible idea of shady men have facial hair and such. Not sure if that's the reason, but I see no problem in this. I mean, it would be nice to see well groomed and maintained beards and mustaches. That way their staff don't look like a bunch of hillbillies or hobos.
I'd run away crying if some guy said "hello" to me with a long, creepy beard/mustache and long hair... But still, it is a pretty silly rule..as long as workers don't let it grow all over the place, its fine to have some facial hair...
Didn't you post this on the SEGA forums too? I guess this is good news...Not so much for those wearing the costumes, but I guess for those who work at Disney World/Land who have been just dying for some facial hair.
Okay...that...I wouldn't like it if a guy with a mustache asked me if I needed help at Disneyland. I don't know, I just don't like this policy change.
