Unlike Scotland. We accept all British notes. We're awesome like that. =D

Actually, that is false information.

England do accept Scottish notes, we just have to be careful when taking them because they are so easily forged :>

Some shops may argue or ask if you have something different as a result of this, but we do take them.

As for Irish money, no-one has ever tried to use it in any of the places I have worked in so I couldn't say what the policy for that is. ​

 

Some do, but not all. I know folk that had to go to a bank to get it changed into English notes cause they make such a big fuss 'bout it. I've been denied several times. N' your English notes aren't all real too. xD

 

Everyone I have talked to says that they have to change their Ulster Bank and Northern Bank etc notes to English notes before going over. I have heard from others that when they have tried to use Northern Irish notes they have been rejected >:

Lol the number of people in my work who have asked for English notes in their change because they are either going over or are sending money in a birthday card to someone in England xD

I'm surprised in all honesty, it is usually only small tiny towns that don't accept them and that is because they can't convert them themselves.

I never said our notes are all real, the issue we have with Scottish notes is that because we get them so rarely it is easier to slip a fake into them as a lot of people wont have seen Scottish money before.

It's true, we don't take Irish money over here, something to do with it being a completely different currency as opposed to sterling?

Eh? I thought Ireland use Euros now anyway, not sterling...
Sheesh, I didn't even realise there was a difference between Scottish banknotes
and the notes from the rest of the UK :3

Northern Ireland uses Pounds Sterling because it is part of the UK D:

The Republic of Ireland uses Euros.
