Stephen Harper never seems to fail at embarrassing Canadians wherever he goes. Everyone I know and everyone my family knows, whether liberal or conservative, tend to agree.

But think about it: if any country had such fields rich with oil and other fossil fuels, don't you think that country's government wouldn't want to take advantage of it?

Wow, I wouldn't have counted Canada to be on the increase in emissions, but there you go.

I do think in general, politicians aren't taking the cuts seriously. England was suppose to reduce its carbon emmisions to promised levels, by next year, I believe. The whole of England has achieved this, except for here in London.
The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson (the mad ice-cream, I call him - if you don't get it, look for his photo) tried to apply for an extension into 2012, but was instead rejected. So now new schemes are going to be intrduced, in order to decrease these that will create a tax increase and great inconvience for car drivers.
I really don't want to get my license now, since it seems it will cost me millions to be able to afford the road taxes, before even getting a car.
