Did you notice that the first unknown that you see is not holding a keyblade....there is no keychain on it sooooo,its not a keyblade ^^

 

Mhm....I dunno. If I remember well, Xehanort's keyblade didn't have one either.

 

Keychains just changes the form of a keyblade (wonder what Sora's looks like without even the Kingdom chain)

 

The Keychain is what makes a keyblade well a keyblade!!!

 

not true keyblades could each be different there could be ones that need a keychain and there could be some that dont you cant prove anything bager boy

 

We don't enough at all to judge any fact about keyblades. KH3 was said to reveal more of its secrets. We actually don't even know much about keychains apart from that the different ones change it's appearance, but we dunno if they don't need one or all that other stuff.

 

Axel's right. We dunno if Keyblades really need a keychain or not.

 

Well, let's just say this...
Rikus keyblade does not have a keychain, so it's possible that they don't need to have a keychain in order to be a keyblade.

 

i agree with that i also noticed that in the secret video in kh2 some of the keyblades that make the cross roads dont all have keychains

No riku's has a keychain..his soul eater is not a keyblade (kh1 wep)

maybe they arnt keyblades...maybe they are like the unknowns wep...

 

no im pretty sure that they are all keyblades its sort of a mix of swords(keyblades) that do and dont have keychains and those that dont

 

Hmmm....I agree with you....But the unknowns wep looks like a keyblade but has no keychain....maybe its the first keyblade ever made....maybe the unknowns are the chasers....maybe they started the keyblade war....Kh3 will solve alot of those I hope...

It's true. I mean, where is it written that a Keyblade HAS to have a key chain just to be a Keyblade? It means nothing.

 

i think might be something like pureblood and emblem heartless.
"chained" keyblades are essentially more power and used for the various world sealing duties where as "unchained" are simply tools of combat.

 

They dont need keychains to be another keyblade. I mean in the secret ending I saw the keyblade Sora gets after defeating Sephiroth and it didnt have a keyblade so yeah...I think you dont need keychains.

 

if all key blades need a key chain the squalls gunblade would be one look at the handle and for evil rikus dark keyblade in kh1 i think the ones without keychains have special purposes like evil rikus it could release hearts right 1+1=2 genusis(jk)
