Yeah, actually i like shooter games too,but this was a final fantasy! Most final fantasies are rpgs.So why did they have to do something like that...?

It was alright I suppose. The gamepaly was good, it just probably needed to be faster and less like Devil May Cry for it to be great. The story did wrap up things for Vincent, it was just...meh and too much like MGS. To conclude this really freaking short review, I give it a 6.5/10 for copying two of the greatest series's of all time..

*spoilers abound so you are warned!*

I will say I 'liked' the game but it could have been better. I really was upset at it for a couple reasons though, to the point I nearly wanted to toss the controller away in disgust. Rosso and Azul made me annoyed. First, I can speak Russian, amongst other languages and the very fake Russian accent of Rosso especially was driving me insane. Second, their death scenes after you defeat them were...rather pointless, overdrawn and just...not making sense to me. Rosso somehow had the energy to kill herself because Vincent wasn't cool enough...if I were Vincent as she's doing her dramatic death scene, I'd have shot her in the head and told her to shut up and die already. Azul's death was cooler, but tell me this...how does a man laugh and produce sound with a huge gun through his chest? Maybe I'm just too smart for my own good but those two scenes were frustrating. Otherwise, I loved the game and it was a lot of fun to go around shooting stuff. Vincent has always been one of my favorite characters from FF VII so seeing him get the spotlight was nice, and Reeve was pretty cool too.

I haven't played it yet, but I probably will when I'm finished with FFVII.

I liked it okay. It was pretty easy to go through, I was half-way finished within five hours of gameplay on the regular mode. I learned a lot from this game that was never explained in FFVII, but I really didn't like most of the characters because they were cheesy and weirdos. But, it depends on the person. It wasn't really violent and the only cuss word I heard was 'hell' and that's pretty soft considering in FFX Tidus did utter a couple of words...which I don't remember, lol.

Eh, personally, I thought it really sucked. Too much like DMC with a hint of MGS. It did have one really awesome song to come with it though and that was 'Redemption.'

...oh and Vincent too. It's always cool to kick *** with Vincent.

...Am I seriously the only person here who actually liked the game? Vincent I think is one of the coolest FFVII characters, and for just being an optional party member, his story was really well developed.

And I normally don't like shooter games. But really, try to think of a way to make this game in normal FF style. Vincent is almost always doing something alone in AC, and doing it quite well, so he really doesn't need a party. He's not really a mage character, and they found another way to get the items, so the command menu wasn't really needed.

Yeah, I do agree that the story was a little scrapped together (almost as if they had really planned to have Advent Children end the series? Hmmmm....) but at least we get to see the world from Vincent's perspective.

It's alright. I haven't actually finished the game, I have only just passed the first bloody boss, but I'm finding it REALLY different from the other two FF games I have, X and X-2.

For one, there are no save points, the game randomly saves itself. I had to run around for AGES trying to get it to save so I could go to bed but I had to give up.

Another thing, I ran out of bullets faster in DoC than I ran out of magic after using Cure in KH2. Then I discovered Vincent's magic... and ran out of that... Then discovered physical attack! But couldn't reach the last guard... Lots of problems fighting.

Third on the list, the short cuts were completely off for me. It took me an hour to figure out what I was actually doing and how I was going to do it.

My friend has VII and she reckons it's awesome except she can't get past the first boss. If I were to add us DoC to any game I've played, it'd be almost like me running around with cheats in Grand Theft Auto.

There, I've said what I think.

By the way, SilentNocturne, Paine said a "curse" word in X-2's first mission in Zanarkand, a LOT worse than just "hell", it's a "password". XD
