Chain of Memories Did anyone else notice...

Did anyone else notice that Sora looks a little different in kh1 than in re:com for ps2? I dunno what it is but he just looks different.

 

Now that you mention it,he does look a bit different...dunno why...

 

What is it that makes him different? I can't tell what it is!

 

In KH1, he his face had the skull shape of a monkey... sorry but thats what it looked like with his enlarged forhead.

Higher polygons fixed that in KH RE:CoM.

 

It's because they used the graphic engine from KH2 to create KH:Re:CoM. That's why the animation looks a lot smoother.

I understand the part about kh1...

but what about polygons???

 

Simple. I read the interviews with Nomura while KH2:FM+ was still being created. ;)

 

Polygon is any multisided shape... if you look at any 3-d image generated by a computer, such as a PS2, you will notice that it actually isnt a smooth shape but actually many little shapes making up one big one...

More polygons make a smoother image, less make a more square less detailed image...

As technology improves, processing power of the machines improves, making graphics better

Ok... let me put two images side by side so you can tell the difference...

High Resolution = lots of polygons


Low Resolution = relativly few polygons... (Ok... this is pretty good resoltion, but its low enough to see an obvios difference)

 

his voice? from Jap version of KH1 is different, but same as jap version of Kh2 i think :D

Kh re-com was after kh2,so would you want the old kh1 graphics,or kh2 graphics? ^^

 

Yeah, the graphics are better. Plus, I noticed that in Re: CoM, he walks a little different to KH Sora? He walks more like..KHII Sora. Probably something to do with the graphics, again. But still, it makes him look older. XD;

 

That,or he's in the process of getting older.

 

Obviously he started to go through puberty because of his appearance in KH2....

Or maybe he went through whilst in that little flower petal pod :3​

 

Well, obviously their going to look different between both games. In KH1 he's his age. In kh:com, he ages a bit. It's not a big deal. The designers probably decided to make him look a bit older in KH:CoM. :/

Difference

I got to say true, that he looks different, but he acts the same.

 

I thought it was just because he was getting older, and he was more pissed off.

 

He's still about the same age.

But yeah it's the polygons. Basically they added more instead of having like one shape for one whole part of him.
