Chain of Memories Destiny Islands Reverse Rebirth Quesiton

When you play as Riku on Destiny Islands and you see Sora towards the end of the level the game will give you two options, the door, that looks like the door to the Halls of Serenity and talking to Sora, I chose to talk to Sora and initiated the cutscene, what happens if you go through the doorway instead?

 

Nothing really, you just go back out into the previous area. And then when you go back into the room with Sora, you just see him standing off in the distance. I guess they put it there so you could have an oppertunity to save the game before the cutscene.

 

Thanks, I was wondering what that door was for.
