Digital Art Desperately trying to break this art block

So I've decided to just poop out tags until I get something pretty. Which isn't this.

 

I love the use of the liquify tool on the background, but for some reason the stock just doesn't fit in.
I'm not sure if its the colour ,but it seems to me that it sticks out too much. O.o
Also i think you should darken the lower areas of the tag :D

 

The 2nd one was a lot nicer than the first one.

The 1st one seems like its mostly random smudging, which is why I didn't like that as much.

2nd one is prrdy, but seems a little, in lack of a better word, messy. Also, as Jay said, darken the lower areas, its a bit monotone as far as brightness goes.
I like the letter though, only problem is that it seems more blended into the sig than the render itself.

Other than me being negative, I like the 2nd one overall :)

 

That second signature is mad crazy; It has some serious potential. Bastila itself needs some more life in her, maybe a bit more contrasting and color correction so she doesn't become too bland. Then like Jay said, add some darkness. Even if its a little bit, it'll help that light act as a more realistic source. The background is the best part though. It's totally set-up for maximum flow and would look great with some clean smudge tooling. I can just imagine the splatter brush masks and low opacity c4d bubbles already. And maybe some rebecca black and justin bieber making out. Awwwww yeaaaaah.

 

Throw some filters and textures at the second one. Bastila looks like she doesn't know why she's there.
Make her comfortable ya digg.

If all else fails just go the B&W route. Trust me, my worst tags look great b&w.
